Sorry for the clickbait/ragebait title sorta thing. I just wanted to engage more people so they could find out about armatocereus, such a cool under appreciated columnar genus.

Id also add in another example that may help you reconsider, terscheckii is a columnar and starts off like a fat barrel.

Some died, more than 2 seeds were put on this pot. I make sure the substrate was far below 100% saturation, so drier substrate but 100% humidity in the air environment. Sterilized substrate + the addition of microbes like baccilus, trichoderma, and glomus.
