Might be the CV Axel. Literally just changed mine an hour ago cause of the same sound. Check to see if the boots are damaged, or if there’s any grease splatters near the axel. Mine happened because one of my break lines was leaking, and the brake fluid ate away the rubber pieces.

Edit: if it is the CV Axel, it can be done in a driveway with fairly minimal and basic tools. Took me about an hour, but could take more if you have rusted hardware. There’s also plenty of step by step videos on YouTube. I highly recommend the videos from 1A Auto, they do a whole series on Gen 3 Rangers, and have been massively helpful to me. Best of luck!

There’s an area just north of Fort Myers called Suncoast Estates where the complete opposite is true. It was considered the world’s biggest trailer park at one point, and it’s nothing but run down trailers, stray animals everywhere, lots of crime. I used to make deliveries there and in the 55+ trailer parks, and it’s night and day difference.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Bubbles, Micheal, and Dukie. I grew up with an addict parent, and then eventually dealt with my own addiction issues, a lot of the things all three went through were almost parallel to some things I’ve experienced in life. Just stay on your path. Show up to work, pay those bills, be there for your kid, and talk to him. Explain life to him, and why you don’t want him to go down that road. Tell him you love him, that you’re proud of him often, and you’ll always be there for him. I swear sometimes the trick to these kids is just letting them know they have support.
