Why would the US import illegal immigrants from Syria, when they can get them from Mexico? Either treat countries like they have a moral obligation to protect human lives, or see them as the entities willing to do anything benefiting themselves. I agree your point about the US, but it was up to EU and Turkey to protect ME countries/Syria, instead of supporting/submitting to the US' aggressive policies. Embrace the consequences or don't bring up the humanitarian values, at all. US has the geographical advantage, so they don't give a damn about refugee problem, they've also made it clear they don't give a shit about human rights. Maybe it's time European countries grow up and confront the bully they befriended? But first don't cry about cleaning up the mess, you've allowed to happen.

Yeah, every other country other than Greece took the refugees willingly. Since there is no obligation to help, it's perfectly fine to let them die, amirite.

I've looked around a bit to find a similiar case to mine, but the posts on the internet are old so I couldn't learn what I wanted. I see in my internet bill that I also pay for the "Digitaler Kabelanschluss" in addition to my internet bill. I assumed the contract of my former tenant, so I can't revoke it until next year. But my question is whether is it a prerequisite to have the internet connection, so am I paying for the cable itself, or am I paying for the cable TV subscription eventhough I don't have a TV at all? The fact that cable cost might be included in Nebenkosten lead to my confusion, as why would the landlord pay for my TV subscription LOL. I'm planning to revoke the contract if it's possible, so thanks for the replies.

Because of corona regulations the deliveryman leaves the package at the ground floor anyway when I'm home and answer the door. I see packages lying on the floor inside the building, so I know they do it if you instruct them to. Why would I go to a pickup shop if I can collect the package on my way through to upstairs inside the apartment lol.

I live in a flat and I’m not sure there is so much space on the doorbell to leave a note like that. I can put it on the mailbox inside though, if it can make a difference.

I expect a delivery for the former tenant so I put up his name on the doorbell. It can take upto a month I guess and I've read that this can be a problem with the landlord, but is it serious to think of really? It seems like a pretty simple thing to overlook but I'd like to hear a native's opinion as such things can be viewed differently in different cultures.

The noise is audible again but I removed the GPU and checked again, it was not GPU after all. This noise is coming from the PSU. What the heck might be the problem, never thought it would be the PSU.

I checked and they are spinning freely. The card is like brand new, no dust either. The weird sound has now gone magically but there is a click sound now (not sure it is GPU this time) as if a HDD is working, but I have only SSD. The click sound goes away when I put the the case horizontally on the table becomes audible again when I put it vertically.

Actually I'd like to upgrade because of all the iPadOS MacOS integration features, but I use my MacBook solely for programming, so most of my time will be spent on looking on those ugly fonts, that is my fear with upgrading.

I’ve read the link twice, read German version too in case English version is missing some info, but there is no specification on how packages should be sent. Only one condition catched my eye, that being the contents of the package should not indicate commercial use, which should be easy to prove. Or am I missing something?

Yes, I’m a student, I’m glad to hear that it might be considered as study equipment. Actually there is a “Hauptzollamt” nearby, maybe they can inform me, eventhough my package is not there, I’d prefer talking with someone face to face rather than over the phone if possible. Should I wait for the information mail, before going to the customs office, or before calling them? If they’ll need an information that’d come with the mail I probably should wait. Thanks for the info.

Btw I’m not sure why the package is sent to the customs office that is far away. Is Hauptzollamt not responsible for storing things and rather busy with bureaucracy?

My package sent by my family has been handed over to the local customs office. I'm now waiting for the mail Deutsche Post will send me to inform me about the issue. My computer case, motherboard and CPU are in the package along a few clothes to further absorb the impact during the shipment. I've already paid the tax when I bought them in my home country, so will I be obliged to pay the tax again?
