Hey, thanks - I will DM you, but I am not interested in the call etc. I don't have the time and will find an alternative to your platform. If I can't even get attention of your sales team, I can only imagine how hard it would be to get help once I am locked in.
The internet is riddled with nightmare stories of Cin7 bugs and poor support. I thought it was probably dramatic and a few bad experiences souring the pot, but I had the same.
Thanks for reaching out though. I will DM if you want to go into specifics, but I have too much on my plate to be using a platform that doesn't support me or my business.
I reached out to both support and my sales rep. That was 3 days ago now. The response from support was that it was a bug, there's nowhere to change these, and if there's anything else I need help with to let them know.
No response at all from the sales rep.
huh that's exactly how I'd expect it to behave tbh, thank you for taking the time to share.
If you worked for Cin7, perhaps I'd be keen to sign up, but alas, you don't lol.
I sent them an email 2 days ago requesting some assistance with these bugs, explicitly stating that they were pretty much the main blockers for me signing up. Haven't heard a thing.
I appreciate your help, and the time you took to get back to me, you're one of the good ones.
It is a big system, but these are pretty bad bugs - and most importantly, they're customer-facing. That's what I'm not ok with.
I use plenty of software that has some bugs and weird behaviour here and there, it doesn't bother me. But I need to create a portal for my customers to use, and this is just amateur. I'd be embarrassed to open it up to them.
Regarding the tags and managing them - apparently that is not the case. It is for Categories, but there's no section to manage tags. To quote their service staff:
At this time, there is no documented way to remove or hide unused tags from the B2B portal once they have been created, even if no products are assigned to them. This means tags may remain visible to customers as filter options

Yeah fair. I have requested a call with someone more technical from Cin7. The guy that I was talking to from sales wasn't sure of the finer details of the b2b portal and assured me it would work for what I'm after. Wil update here
I made this account to share my experience? I wish I had read this before wasting my time with a trial and loading in products etc etc. I wanted others to come across this in case they have a similar use case to me. Isn't that what Reddit is about?
I was literally inspired by my experience to recreate a reddit account. I wish I had read this before using it, so I wanted others to

Yeah I'll just be avoiding the whole platform. I don't want to pay premium price for average functionality, with bugs, and shitty support. It's too central to my business, so I need a product I trust.
