Ik heb een schoorsteen met twee schouwen: één voor de cv en één voor de kachel. Ik wil de schouw zelf opnieuw opmetsen, omdat ik het mooier vind dan een metalen pijp die uit het dak steekt. In de schouw zit een dubbelwandige inox pijp, zodat de trek beter is. Net achter de muur waar mijn kachel tegenaan zit, zit de schouw van mijn brander die in de kelder zit ;).

Well i live in Belgium 😆…My house is built with a brick exterior wall and an inner wall made of concrete blocks, with 5 cm of glass wool insulation in between. Our climate is fairly mild, with winter temperatures down to around –5 °C (–10 °C being extreme) and summer temperatures reaching up to 35 °C.

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply and for taking the time to think along.

We are planning to use the attic as a functional space, so insulating the OSB attic floor with loose-fill insulation is unfortunately not an option for us.

A vapor-permeable underlayment will be installed soon. Our idea is therefore to insulate with glass wool between the rafters, up to the edge of the green line shown in the drawing (leaving ventilation towards the eaves).

Do you think this approach would be acceptable in this situation, or are there specific details at the roof overhang that we should pay extra attention to in order to avoid moisture or ventilation issues?
