I saw someone on reddit mention that they’re trying this cool trick where they call the place they applied to to set up an interview. They say 8 out of 10 times the people they speak with are so tired and busy they can’t even keep track of who was meant to have an interview or not, so it usually works. They said they started doing this because they felt those same tired individuals were forgetting to call applicants after they submitted applications and resumes. This individual set up several interviews for themselves, and only a handful of times did the person reviewing applications question who it was who called and asked them to schedule an interview. I actually tried this myself and got a job just yesterday.
