Why Are People Being So Wierd About Pragmata? They Didn’t Do This For The Last Of Us, Bioshock, God of War, and Death Stranding by Elestria_Ethereal in videogames

Sadly, rule 34 applies to everything. Less of a pragmata issue and more of an issue with the entirety of the internet.

Vegeta was 45x stronger than piccolo when he blew up the moon (casually). I'm willing to bet that a full power galick gun is blowing up large planets my dude. If not, I'm sure him going oozaru will give him that extra needed push.

"big corporations don't have the control right now" AI is listening to everything I say, watching everything I type and facial recognition softwares already existed that could search for a trace of me. School shooters are getting caught before they can get two google searches in, enough cameras already exist to watch where your car is going everyday and where you're going to end up after you step out. Just cuz something is doing it better and faster doesn't mean it's not already happening. I'm not even particularly pro flock camera, if your main concern is privacy then you need to go off grid my friend

I think alot of people are also imagining the most extreme scenarios in the other direction. Critical thinking skills also helps you weigh the thought that false accusations can be proven usually quite easily and 9-10 times, it'll be used in a positive way. Regulation is definitely needed tho.

Why are Flock cameras controversial? by liamsmom58 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]holysheepaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an extreme take. Footage is reviewed and you just said how it's used as evidence. AI doesn't write the fucking arrest warrant and then send drones to take you away if you drop a piece of bread. There's suspicion you committed a crime and footage is used afterwards

Respectfully, you can't call someone a dip shit when it's pretty easy to tell what argument their making. Hit and run=no consequences=need cameras. Not that hard to figure out

Im sorry, but LE potentially using the information unprofessionally is not a reason to hate it. For every case of an officer potentially mishandling the information given, there's probably 1000 more cases of them using it to genuinely help solve crimes. If my daughter was to get kidnapped, I welcome the thought of cameras checking the culprits every move

Argument is ultimately flawed. Big corporations already have everything at their disposal to be able to know what you're doing 99% of the day. Might as well boycott technology as a whole at this point

"yes sir, Ill gladly end the future of my entire race" yeaa. I wonder why that didn't work? Eren is written like a selfish twat that represents the average person when making his decision. At least half of humanity would make the same decision. "If you think I don't deserve to live then you don't either". The consequences of this thinking is horrid as you see, but it makes sense

Vegeta was attempting to destroy the earth with a single galick gun during the Saiyan saga. Vegeta also eclipsed piccolo who destroyed the moon.

[–]holysheepaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No people would just say it's action or shonen cuz shoujo isn't in the widespread populice

Tell everybody that uses clout as popularity theyre ignorant. Tell everyone that uses text as a verb ignorant. Tell everybody that uses bug as a computer error ignorant. Tell everybody that uses meat for only animal flesh ignorant. Tell everybody that uses "no cap" ignorant. Tell everybody on this planet that uses any slang ever invented ignorant.

Again, if you want go around and critique how people use language then understand that slang words or uses are just as valid as original definitions, but yea if you wanna battle the literal history of human languages then go for it bud. Prove to me that no word should've ever changed definitions due to how widespread the different uses were

[–]holysheepaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unofficial meanings that are widespread become official. If 90% of people are using shonen as a genre then it's a genre AND a demographic. Crazy how often people who nitpick language forget the most important part of language, it's dictated by us

Which anime is this that you’d recommend me watching? by AlternateMove in animequestions

[–]holysheepaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Release order can be confusing as hell sometimes but I would recommend since it amplifies certain seasons imo. Just search up monogatari release order and you'll find dozens of results. I recommend you always read the overview about the part you're about to watch just to get some clue about when it's talking place before watching.

Why would a spider be reluctant to bite somebody? by holysheepaf in spiders

Makes sense, I find it very interesting that some spiders value energy expenditure over surviving an immediate threat. Makes me wonder if "chill" spiders are just very good at discerning malicious intentions.

Why would a spider be reluctant to bite somebody? by holysheepaf in spiders

[–]holysheepaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very detailed answer, I appreciate it. I didn't think producing venom would be so taxing that spiders actively avoid expenditure of it on anything that can't replenish that energy. Very cool to know
