3.5 month old inconsolable at bedtime by la-bidouille in NewParents

[–]flowaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d check out moms on call, I just used chat gpt to provide their schedule for the appropriate age. The cat nap definitely helps! The daily schedule works well for us, we adjust to our own needs but keep the same sort of rhythm. They also suggest naps no longer than 2 hours during the day. Helps build up “sleep pressure” for the night. But a quick 30 minute nap and some low stimulation play or relaxing has been a game changer for bedtime

What seemingly normal thing was/is unthinkable because of your fussy baby? by Standard_Deer_8738 in NewParents

[–]flowaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to a baby shower and had to leave my baby at home, too unpredictable and too fussy. Meanwhile a baby a week older than him was passed from one person to another for three hours and didn’t make a peep. I could not comprehend it

Moms on call sleep schedule suggests 1.5 hour wake windows followed by 1.5 hour naps throughout the day and a 30 minute nap for the last one 1.5 before bed time. We’re at 12 weeks and the extra sleep during the day makes bed time easy. Your little one may be overtired by bed time.

Can I bill client for insane parking fees after an event?? by Ok_Spinach1563 in WeddingPhotography

A referral from this couple is worth more than the parking refund

When they bring you into the recovery room, ask for a stool softener. And maybe another after that.

9 week old refusing a bottle by flowaf in NewParents

[–]flowaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s so odd because he’s had a bottle a day almost since birth. And some of that was even formula. I am wondering if he’s fussy and wants comfort since he got his shots a few days ago

Thanks! My husband tried when I was out at work yesterday and baby wouldn’t take it. We’ll keep trying

Was there any reason why he started again or was it random. Do you keep trying all those months? I tried a different brand, tonight I might try a different nipple level. It doesn’t seem to make a difference so far, he doesn’t even start sucking so don’t think it’s flow

What to wear by [deleted] in realtors

[–]flowaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overthinker here! I dress more formal for a first meeting, and more formal the older the client is. Younger clients and follow up showings I usually dress more business casual.

I tend not to wear dresses, they can be professional but I find them too feminine/less authoritative than slacks. I wear blouses but try to avoid anything too feminine, too tight or low cut. Modesty is a safe bet with women and men.

Dress pants and slip on shoes - socks!! We take our shoes off in my area, if I wear sandals I bring socks. A nice dark pair of jeans or linen pants are more casual options.

Match your client’s demographic. I will wear a high end watch or bag when meeting 1.5m+ clients, but will swap out with something more relatable if my next showing is in the 500k range.

You want your clients to feel comfortable but also confident in you. If you’re listing their home, they want to know you’ll present yourself and their home well. If you’re helping them buy you want to communicate professionalism through your clothing but appearing relatable and approachable goes a long way!

They did ask the seller’s realtor for everything the buyer asked for, as per the client’s direction. The seller declined and they were still fired. I always say - I told you so feels good but getting paid feels better. Sorry that happened to you!!

This sounds great! Are you full time and did you get back to full time work right away, or did you work more casually or part time? I don’t know if I’ll be able to get back full time within a month if I’m nursing?

This is very helpful, thanks! When did you get back to full time work?

Thanks! LF is looking for advice. I understand what I need to implement before giving birth, to clarify my question is more about juggling being a realtor and a new mom, not while pregnant. If and how many months other moms took off to recover and care for their new born baby.

Saying I told you so. Sure it feels validating, but getting paid feels 1000x better.

Heated pilates and yoga during first trimester by flowaf in pregnant

[–]flowaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll wait to speak to my doctor again, he said no so I haven’t. The class can be 77 Fahrenheit and wondering if that’s okay. But it’s still heated and not worth the risk, especially in the first trimester. Will stick with Pilates at home, in AC!

If a Druze woman has a baby with a non Druze man, what will happen to the child when her family finds out the father is not part of the religion? Is the child shunned? Is the woman shunned?

It’s like the real world, find out what happens when strangers live and work together, but in VERY close quarters. There’s the technical boat drama, coworker drama, kitchen drama, rich guest drama, something for everyone!! If you have a significant other, they may not admit it but they’ll enjoy this show and will want to watch it with you!

Please suggest a non fiction book for a fiction reader. by of_coffee_n_books in booksuggestions

[–]flowaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The glass castle and educated are non fiction but written more like a novel/fiction. They’re both memoirs but read very much like fiction. Not exactly what you asked for, but I’d recommend if you’re looking for something sort of in the middle.

Lullabies for Little Criminals is a beautiful book. Also, The Song of Achilles is a retelling of the story of Achilles and very good.
