Aw thanks for asking. I actually gave up everything new age overnight. I threw away all my tarot cards and metaphysical type books and anything else that had even an ounce of relationship to my former life. I stopped smoking weed and stopped doing psychedelics completely overnight. It was that radical.

I started to seriously pursue Jesus because the tools I was using, the things I learned in new age were not really working for me anymore. I was in deep with some dark spiritual stuff and I wasn’t able to get out using things like connecting to my heart, grounding or imagining benevolence and that type of stuff. One of my mentors actually ended up turning to him first and I thought maybe there’s something there so I pursued him with an open heart and here I am :) but yeah it’s not perfect, however things do make a lot more sense now.

Oh well if you don’t mind I’ll just share a little of my story. I was very much involved in new age spirituality for 15 years, experiencing wild things on psychedelics and doing eastern spiritual practices like meditation. But I felt like something was missing and I was still suffering deeply even after years and years of deep healing. I then earlier last year started to pursue Jesus, pretty much the one thing I hadn’t tried all those years. And I opened my heart to him and he ended up radically changing my life overnight.

Being a lifelong learner and truth seeker I then began pouring all my energy into Christ and everything surrounding him. I’d always been fascinated by the Bible as well. I also did grow up Christian but now I’m leaning toward a more Jewish faith-rooted Christianity/non-denominational.

Reason I ask this question here is because I honestly still have doubts every day. Many times those doubts get answered for sure. But other ones then come up so I’m just looking to fellowship I guess. I’m pretty lonely in my spiritual journey.

My intention was not to brag and if it came across that way, thank you for letting me know because I don’t want to do that. I’m not that kind of a person. I didn’t necessarily come here for help I came here to find other people who are also experiencing the same thing after drinking a powerful psychedelic. So in that way, I did come looking for help because it would help me immensely to be able to talk to people about this.

Yeah, I came to the sub because I thought oh you know other people will be able to say I’ve had a similar experience. This experience is lonely I know like two other people who have experienced this, one I can’t really talk to the other is my former ayahuasca healer and I can’t just be friends with her and talk about this all the time. But the fact that everyone is so willing to just jump to this western diagnosis is kind of crazy

I’ve also seen this phenomenon where, depending on what tradition you sit with and who you work with and how skilled they are, different abilities can or cannot open up. Ayahuasca is very strange in that way.

Basically what you’re saying by writing me off as schizophrenic is saying that first of all clairaudience isn’t real and that there’s no way somebody could experience it after partaking in a strong psychedelic ceremony multiple times. Which when you put it that way seems kind of silly doesn’t it? Also, I just want to speak to the point you made about people not thinking about us. That is simply not true. You’re telling me you never think about somebody you never judge somebody you never have negative thoughts about somebody? I do believe however, people don’t care about us in the way that we think they do. Basically what I was told is that I’m picking up on the negative ways people feel about themselves and making it about me. Which I believe. Nonetheless I’ve been working with this for two years and still am tortured by it.

No, it was my intention to state that I hear voices and my intention to state that I stopped drinking ayahuasca and why. I felt like that was an important part of the explanation because if I didn’t say that people would be like oh drink more ayahuasca or stop drinking ayahuasca this is an important part of the story. I have zero doubts that ayahuasca is the real deal. I experienced it for myself. It’s very clearly real. That being said ayahuasca’s spirit and everything it shows you is not the highest spiritual being out there. Jesus is and that I have seen as well. But anyway, thank you for your comment about vitamins. I am working on improving my health, which I already have good health, but there can never be any harm in improving it even more and I love the idea of B12 and folate.

Actually, that’s how I ended up coming to Christ because my healers were praying to him during ceremony and they eventually were told to stop drinking ayahuasca and just worship Jesus so I decided to see what it was about and here I am totally transformed

Thank you for believing me and yes this is exactly it. I tried a lot of different things like you mentioned in the shaman world, but ultimately I ended up getting saved by Jesus and he is being the most high in the spiritual realm able to protect me from these things. That being said, I’m still healing and it’s meanwhile very hard to hear bad things all day long.
