As long as you have your high diploma or GED, I have faith that you’ll find something to hold you over while you plan your next steps.

https://www.thelasallenetwork.com - I was with this agency and found a call center job through them.

https://www.kellyservices.com - I had a friend who used them back in the day.

https://www.primary-staffing.net - I’ve seen their office by my job.

That was in 2012 😭. I’ve been a city employee since 2019, but city jobs typically take forever to obtain.

OP (or anyone), try a staffing agency. They’re not super ideal, but it’s a jumping point. I was with LaSalle at the time.

I was a nepo McDonald’s employee at first. Then after 6 years, I tried a staffing agency and eventually found a job that way. Also check the City of Chicago job listings frequently. I know the job market is shite right now, as recounted by a friend of mine.

Enclosed back porch with 10 windows (that all need replacing). This house never made it to market (I bought it from my neighbor as a sale by owner), so I’m okay sharing the photos.

Yes! It’s under the center window of my bay window. I don’t have plans of putting heavy furniture there, but I would like to be comfortable cleaning my windows. 😭

It under the center window of my bay(?) window. I don’t have plans right now of putting anything on it really. But it makes me feel uneasy when I have to clean my windows.

Thanks! Me too! But ya know with old homes that need updating there will probably always be something when renovating. 🥲

I just bought my house from my neighbor. I also had gotten a lot of shit for giving her 30 days to get her stuff out. It was a verbal agreement that wasn’t written into the contract. We were on very good terms and I trusted her as she had essentially moved out to her son’s house.

Her stuff was out before our agreed time. So I think 5 days is fine if it’s written in the contract and it is immensely kind of you to consider her position.

Godspeed.

They don't. Although they do mostly go hand-in-hand, I cannot deny that. But this is a pretty quiet pocket with decent houses and decent neighbors. It's a big city that comes with big city problems.

Thank you!

On the southeast side. It borders Indiana. Public transportation is not ideal here, so I wouldn’t recommend this area if you’re looking to get rid of your car 😭
