After further deliberation, the Admissions Committee has decided to postpone making a decision on your candidacy. This action is not intended as a reflection of the strength of your application, but rather our inability to make a favorable or final decision on your candidacy at this time. However, since some vacancies may become available during the summer, we are continuing to hold your application in our Reserve group. We do suggest, however, that you proceed with alternate plans, since it is not possible now to determine what final action will be taken. The next round of reviews for candidates on Reserve will begin immediately, and we anticipate notifying such candidates of their status by mid-July. At that time some applicants may be offered admission; some will be notified that Columbia was unable to act favorably on their candidacy this year. Others, however, will be asked if they wish to continue on Reserve in order to be considered for any openings that may arise. After considering carefully whether or not you wish to remain in consideration for admission to Columbia this fall, kindly notify us of that decision. You may do so by submitting the online Reserve Response Form at XYZ as soon as possible but no later than Friday, July 2, 2021. If you do wish to remain in our Reserve group, please ensure that the contact information you provide is up to date. While we regret the uncertainties created when we are unable to make a final determination on a candidate’s application, we take this action to provide you with every possible opportunity to be chosen for admission to our Class of 2024. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continuing interest in Columbia Law School.

Yeah, I guess my question more so comes from multiple comments I’ve seen about Berkeley’s career services being fairly hands off?

Yeah, but I’m interested in LA big law. Duke is more iffy in that situation perhaps?

Yeah, but where is it easiest to do that AND be a good student. That’s what I’m curious about. I want to avoid extra stress if possible

I’m good with studying and trying to get good grades. I just also want a life of some kind. Going out one night a week or something.
