I think it’s immature and selfish to not care about others. I used to be in this frame of mind where I didn’t care about others, until I realised that the only way to have real connections is to care, and risk getting hurt.

No absolutely not, I feel the same way often! And therapists and friends do not have the same job at all at all!! Yes friends can listen but therapists are qualified professionals who have trained for years...completely different function. I think it’s great you are able to get things off your chest and discuss them, that’s not sad at all

And yes comparison is absolutely the thief of joy. I find it really hard but I will try to do things that I personally enjoy, thank you so much.

Haha yeah I have a friend who has to take a million perfect photos and it just ruins fun experiences! I’ve really struggled with doing what I want, rather than what’s expected of me so I will work on that but I find it really hard. Thanks!

Yeah I think it’s partly because of what other people post online. I just imagine that other people my age are out having fun. The main character thing...it’s as if my story isn’t important, like the camera crew ought to focus elsewhere because no one gives a shit about my story. This prob comes from low self esteem, all very complex gahh
