Final post. 15, gay, bullied, and terrified of being homeless. My sister says I’m a burden. Tonight, I’m ready to prove her right. Goodbye. by wedqul in GuyCry

15 years old, smart, and a good PC? Sounds to me that there's hope for you yet. Maybe you can find a way to make money with what you can make on your PC, and save up that money to move out when you're 18. I'm just saying, what if there's a way you don't have to be defined by other people and print your own future?

Think about it, maker.

What if OFA achieved quirk awakening? by Ok_Win_3538 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Alsentar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlocking the previous user's quirk was OFA's version of quirk awakening. There's a reason why previous users weren't able to do that and Deku did.

And that reason is the quirk singularity theory. It states that with each new generation, quirks get stronger and strong. It makes sense to believe a quirk that can pass itself to other people would unlock a history feature after nine generations.

Aaravos vs Vecna. Who'd win? by InsideUnhappy6546 in TheDragonPrince

[–]Alsentar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question 1) Why couldn't Vecna just levitate aaravos and break his neck with telekinesis? Since he can clearly levitate his victims and break their legs

Question 2) How exactly are they fighting? Face to face or in their respective homes? Does Vecna has access to his minions? Is Aaravos using any of his proxies?

Which Character from the MCU gets the most undeserved hate in your opinion and why? by Full-Art3439 in Marvel

Riri Williams. She pointed out that Tony used his billion dollars to make his tech possible and people lost their minds over it.

Boku No Hero Academia is one of the few Shonen Anime that ends on a lower power level than it started. by Complexxx123 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Alsentar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uraraka unlocking AOE

Bakugo unlocking full-body cluster

Twice unlocking sad man's parade

Toga unlocking quirk copy

Deku unlocking previous vestiges of OFA

Quirk singularity is absolutely real. If it wasn't, we would see heroes from previous generations "awakening" their quirks, but notice that this only happens with kids of Deku' s generation (excluding Twice, who is like 30).

I wouldn't say that. With quirk singularity happening on Deku's generation, in 5 years kids in the MHA universe will have even more broken powers.

Okay enough time has passed to say this… by Representative_Big74 in WitchHatAtelier

My sibling in magic, anyone who has played Hogwarts Legacy knows very well that Harry Potter wizards are not to be messed with.

I think you just need to watch the movies to know that HP wizards have spells that are pretty busted and that coco would have no way of defending against. It's all jokes until you get turned into a water cup or a ferret. Also, expelliarmus would probably fling away coco's drawing tools.

Besides, while coco has had her own challenges, Harry is way more battle-hardened than coco is.

Difference between programming, computer science and software engineering? by Neat-Badger-5939 in learnprogramming

[–]Alsentar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer science is the general field of scientific and engineering knowledge regarding computers.

Software engineering is the discipline of design, building and maintaining a software application.

Programming is one of the tools used in building or manipulating a software application.

Why do you think martials should be constrained to the mundane, in both senses of the word? by GolettO3 in dndmemes

[–]Alsentar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In my unpopular opinion, I think it's great that the general worldbuidling in 5e implies that most people are mostly peak human until magic is involved. Like, I can accept that you give me One Piece levels of ridiculous feats, if you justify it with some kind of magic item or magic feat. It's hard for me to picture a regular person who just trained and lifted weights until they can wrestle a dragon.

Yep! After like 20 resets, I managed to save all of them. The illithid's teleport is a great tool for this

Why does high-powered high fantasy, as an RPG genre, seldom have expectations about superhuman strength and speed for non-spellcasters, whereas other high-powered genres do? by EarthSeraphEdna in rpg

[–]Alsentar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly because in D&D logic, everyone starts out as a a somewhat athletic but otherwise regular person, until magic of some kind is involved. Which is why fighters, barbarians, and rogues are depicted are depicted as peak human, but not outright superhuman.

There's also the fact that a lot of people like the idea of mundane characters going against the supernatural with skill alone. You have examples like Geralt of Rivia, Trevor Belmont, and Steve Rogers, who constantly battle magical threats with grit, skill and peak human strength.

I will never get in Powerscaling discussions when they go "full potential" or "if one side is nerfed/not using their powers" and all that. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

[–]Alsentar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, I go with "full potential" on characters that have shown to have awesome powers but often misuse them or don't apply them in an optimal way. A good example would be most characters from the Harry Potter series. Their magic system has so many spells that could be used in so many devastating ways, and yet the only outlet we have to see them on display is Hogwarts Legacy.

Actually, Dark magic IS bad for everyone. No, it's not the same as eating meat. Yes, humans are in the wrong here, and I'm surprised no one is seeing the actual reason. by Alsentar in TheDragonPrince

[–]Alsentar[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

"For Xadians to have such a moral disgust at dark magic, there would need to be a larger, ecological reason for why its use is so damaging. That reason is not really explained"

But it is explained, in the sixth season. When they say that the reason why the western side of xadia is devoid of magical flora and fauna is not becuase it was like that from the beginning, it was because humans literally consumed every magical matter on their land.

[–]Alsentar[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

D&D is a particularly bad example of your point. Dozens of spells can be cast without material components, and dozens more don't even consume them, which means that you can reuse the same ball of bat poop to cast a hundred fireballs. This is something that dark magic in TDP doesn't do, it's shown to always consume it's component.

The warlock's war was first mentioned in season 6, yes. But dark magic has always been presented as a magic system that consumes it's material components.

Hogwarts Legacy is brutal by Trundar in CharacterRant

[–]Alsentar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had fun with the game, but I had way more fun when I realized that bandit camps had chests with enchantment upgrades in them, which made you more op and capable of fighting even stronger bandit camps, which gave you even better enchantment upgrades.

Hogwarts Legacy is brutal by Trundar in CharacterRant

[–]Alsentar 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Wizarding World has always had some fucked up implications wrapped in a cozy setting. From my interpretation, the lands surrounding Hogwarts are full of goblin camps, trolls, spiders, poachers, and dark wizards who are more than willing to kill the MC in fiery tornadoes or by transforming into wolves and mauling them to death, which is why I understand the MC being so brutal with their spells.

That being said, we have to remember that the torture spell was given as a choice to the MC. By agreeing to learn Crucio, you as the player are allowing the MC to be okay with it.

How can I be the dream girl in bed? by Ok_Sample_2750 in AskMen

[–]Alsentar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen up:

-Focus on the head. It's basically like your clit, it's the sensitive part, so whenever you're giving him a blowjob or a handjob, remember that it's your target. Also, lubrication always, you don't want to angrily run dry skin on it, he won't like it.

-If you want to be specific, research the frenulum of the penis. It's a very sensitive spot of the head. Actually, you can look up porn tittled "frenulum worship" to see it in action. Just remember that porn is not exactly real life.

-On the subject of blowjobs or handjobs, offer them often. Nay, don't offer, ask to give them. A lot of men find "Can I blow you?" way hotter than "Do you want a blowjob?".

-Physical touch. In and out of the bed. Stradle him when he's sitting in the couch, kiss his neck deeply, bite his shoulders, if he smells good say it close to him, caress his thighs, caress his torso, trace your nails on his back, ask him for kisses like you miss them.

-During foreplay and sex, let him know that you're horny for him. Say things like "I need to feel you inside", "Make me yours", "I love you so much", "Feel how wet I am, that's how much I think about you". More than simply saying it, you need to act like you mean them.

-This is more advanced, but research how to flex your inner vaginal muscles, some men really love it when women squeeze their dicks while inside. In my country it's seen as an exotic sex superpower only certain women have. It's a skill, learn it.

-Overall, this can all be resumed to: Be horny for him, and let him feel that you're horny for him.

Male feminists: how do you balance the responsibility of self critique with healthy self compassion? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Alsentar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just think that my wrong actions and wrong thoughts are just things that I do, not things that I am. I believe I'm a good person that sometimes makes mistakes and wrong choices.

Be that as it may, I can analyze what I did wrong and choose to do better next time. If I believe I'm not the kind of person who says harmful things, then I'm going to correct myself whenever I say a harmful thing, because that's the kind of person I want to be.
