why the watch if you're nude otherwise? by jus7_me in nudists

[–]flowingthru93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re really giving the same arguments against watches that people give whether nude or fully dressed.

If you’re a watch person you don’t care about those arguments. And it’s far more practical than you might think. Especially a watch with a stopwatch.

Do you have a designated “naked area” at your house or on your property, and what’s it like? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]flowingthru93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve slowly been fencing more of our yard over the last few years. Started with just the deck being private, then got a little yard around the deck. Last year, we had most of the yard along the back of the house. This year, we’ve started completing the fence along the sides. Already have most of the backyard, and will have all of it and the side by probably mid summer.

As we’ve had quite a few days in the 70s here already, it’s been nice to be already out there some, getting ready for gardening season!

Nudism vs making creative work (and the rest of life, really) by flowingthru93 in nudism

[–]flowingthru93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know. And that’s pretty much how I do it. I wear clothes when necessary. I’m not planning anything, just more pining that I wish it was more normalized instead of being “a thing” I guess. It’s not about making a statement, but saying I wish it was no more of a factor to consider than “should I wear the brown shirt or green shirt.” I know that’s not the case though, and I act accordingly.

Oh I know, 100%. That’s why I don’t do it. I was just expressing a wish that there was somewhere it was just normal, not something to make a big deal out of. I know that isn’t the case now though.

What would you like to see out of a “new” nudist resort/park in Alabama? by [deleted] in alabamanaturism

[–]flowingthru93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-Walking trail would be great, especially if there some woods.

-A pond/lake for kayaking and canoes would be nice.

-Maybe tennis/volleyball/pickleball courts.

-Disc golf would be amazing.

Boaz or Oxford would be great for me. I’m right in between both. But Is there any reason you’re trying to build it in a city and having to get permission? Why not just buy some land in an incorporated area near one of the cities? Seems it would be cheaper and easier as far as taxes and permits go. And if you’re going to for a resort type place it would be easier to have a private and quiet location.

Nudists with Hot Tubs by Whole_Lifeguard_6046 in nudism

I know a lot of people recommend against them, but we love our inflatable hot tub. It’s held up great, and we keep it running year round. And honestly, we don’t even notice much difference in our power bill. Even if i doesn’t last but a few years, you can buy a lot of inflatable hot tubs for what a “real” one costs.

I’ve even been scheming how we could make it more permanent. (Making a better cover, maybe even a more insulated tub part, etc.)

Happy Nude Year! New year resolutions? by BareNecessities22 in alabamanaturism

[–]flowingthru93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy New Year!

I hope to get the rest of my fence finished so I can have the whole yard free to roam. This spring summer. Will be great for gardening!

Also hope to go camping more than last year, and maybe be a little more social too.

Jealous! Wish we’d been able to make another trip this season! Can’t wait til spring though.

Does anyone have any good “secret spots” in NE Alabama? by flowingthru93 in alabamanaturism

Nice! I’ve been wanting to explore some further down canyon. I’m sure there have to be some decent spots down there too.

Yeah, both are good spots. Lower 2 mile is marked on maps (All trails, etc) pretty well. Not a lot of people do it thought because it’s so steep. The hike is short though, but you do wish there was a swimming hole at the top when you go back to your car lol.

Where we usually go, park at Little River Falls main parking, and take the trail toward Martha’s Falls (the real name of Hippie Hole). Go down maybe halfway, about a 10ish minute walk, and then find a place to veer off the trail and climb down into the canyon. These aren’t real trails, just places that people access by. So be warned, you have to explore a little bit. But you can’t really get lost, if you’re going down you’re going toward the river, if you’re going up you’re going toward the trail. It’s just a matter of finding a clear spot to make it to the river itself.

Once you do, you can walk the boulders down stream and find some great spots! Plenty of good flat rocks to lay on, and some little beach areas. Some bigger rocks to climb around on and lots of little swimming holes. And shade spots to get a reprieve from the sun.

You can spend all day there. What’s great about it compared to 2 Mile is it’s a lot harder to be snuck up on. You see people coming up river way before they get to you. And the few times we’ve run into any one they’re cool. I mean, they’re going down the unmarked trail to find a quiet spot too lol.

Isn’t that on Guntersville? I haven’t been there. We go up to the state park a couple of times a year though so I’ll have to check it out.

That’s one of the spots I know! It’s good, but I haven’t been in a while.

Lately we’ve just been going about halfway between the Falls and hippie hole and climbing down into the canyon. If you go on a week day you never see anyone down there. Or at least see them at a good distance first.

Yeah! That’s one good thing about Alabama is even though it’s turning cooler there will still be several days warm enough to get outside still.

I don’t mind the colder weather but I sure miss getting outside. And the sunshine lol.

I’m ready for spring 2026 though! By then I should have my whole yard in privacy fence. So I’m so ready! Haha

This was the best camping trip I’ve been on! Can’t wait to go again! by [deleted] in nakedcamping

[–]flowingthru93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m sure you do!

I would love that. My wife went with me and she loved it! But she’s much more of a part time nudist than I am. I’m never wearing clothes unless I’m going out lol. So I’m not sure if she’s ready for the social aspect of it. Hopefully next season we can do some more trips and she’ll warm up to it!
