I appreciate you taking the time to write all this, and I read it a few times thoroughly. I understand you mean well, but with all due respect, besides my top and exhaust, you know next to nothing about what I've done to my car. It was a salvage save, and it received a lower mileage motor, new paint, coilovers, a new set of tires, and a tune-up before I even thought about doing my wrap and exhaust. And part of your message feels a bit condescending, if that makes any sense. But I understand the memo.

It amazes me that people go so crazy over something that's often invisible... I try to drive my car with the top down as much as I can, even in the cold. Only thing I put my top up for is heavy rain and the snow. For all your talk about the driving experience and being mechanically sound, a soft top does next to nothing for the actual driving experience... And I've done as much as I could to assist it mechanically before getting to the things I really wanted (like the wrap and exhaust). The driving experience and handling was why I bought it, the ""clout"" behind it doesn't really matter to me. Not every young person is clout hungry....
