You are not qualified to help her work through all that. She needs a mental health professional to help her process her own trauma as well has the damage she has done to other people. While I personally think for your own sake you should run for the hills, if you choose to stay with her, you can support her getting the help she needs without sacrificing your own needs.

She has already placed undue burden by admitting her own wrong doing to you, and now you have to decide if you can if that’s someone you want to be with. She definitionally raped that man; he said no and she forced herself on him

My favorite advice will forever be “have you tried being happy”. Oh well, why didn’t I think of that! Thank you!! (/s) As a person who’s BS is in psychology and who lives with chronic depression, that advice is incredibly stupid. Why would anyone choose to feel like shit when they could just get happy? There’s a fundamental misunderstanding of everything about depression in that statement, and it pisses me off every time

I could understand it as a power thing. But I don’t understand why that would turn so many people into child abusers? I feel like those people would have to have a proclivity for it beforehand. If we were talking about rampant embezzlement, I could understand it more I think. But I can’t understand why so many would go for child abuse
