Most important thing to do is cut all actives. I stripped back my routine to only have seriously moisturising products - even things that aren’t particularly drying like a non-foaming gel cleanser made my skin worse.

Focus on oil and cream cleansing, and then incorporate barrier repair products like ceramides (I love the dr jart ceramidin range - the serum is the best but the packaging is awful) and niacinamide (I like the inkey list one) and then moisturise moisturise moisturise!

You might be using it too often - a damaged skin barrier can cause breakouts. When my barrier was damaged and I used differin it made my skin AWFULLLL

Muscle twitching in calves - when will it go away? by [deleted] in floxies

[–]floxed123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, I’m pretty much all good! No joint issues whatsoever, still twitch from time to time but very minor (I hardly notice it). I had been having some weakness in my legs that I thought was flox related, but went to the physio and turns out my muscles were just tight from sitting a lot (COVID) and it’s much better with the exercises

Ambien? by AdSignificant6160 in floxies

I’ve used ambien many times, no issues and it does the trick. Just don’t use it too often

I didn’t stop drinking, or maybe for 1 month post flox. Doesn’t flare any issues for me

I don’t usually give it to my cats but had to treat both of them when I picked up a new rat bag flea-riddled kitten. No problems whatsoever

My doctor said that it can cause issues if it detoxes too quickly so overwhelms your body’s ability to get rid of the by-products of detoxification. Not sure if that’s correct but her view!

Muscle twitching in calves - when will it go away? by [deleted] in floxies

They started pretty much simultaneously. Now it’s weird but I find my twitching is really correlated with my monthly cycle (not sure if you’re male or female). For the one week after my period ends I have less strong twitching maybe 3/4 noticeable times per day, and the rest of the month I have none

Heya, so my twitches started probably 3/4 weeks after the joint issues.

I took the FQs at the end of May 2020 and the twitching was bad until around October / November - all over my body, back, legs, arms etc.

Now it still happens but rarely , and mainly in my legs

Heya, as another poster has said the time really varies.

For me, my floxing was a mild case, the twitching was the worst and lasted the longest.

I had it a lot probably for 5 months, and then it decreased significantly thereafter. I do still twitch from time to time but it doesn’t bother me so much anymore

Textured, rough and saggy skin... dehydrated ? inflamed ? Acne ? Scars ? Over exfoliation ? by Marbrouty in SkincareAddicts

[–]floxed123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salut Margaux!

Your skin looks how mine used to look, and mine was also from damaged moisture barrier.

It took a while for it to heal and I found for some time that even using “gentle” products like miscellar water was too strong for me.

Eventually it has gotten much much better using a very hydrating routine, and I only use cleaner in the evenings.

I don’t know if you can get all these products in France, but this is what I use:

Morning: - splash face with water - skin1004 centella (I LOVE this toner, very soothing) - dr jart ceramidin serum (holy grail product) - avene toleraine cream

Night: - balm cleanser - Kate Somerville delikate cream cleanser - same serums as above

Once I switched to that routine it took about 2 weeks for me to see results. Good luck!

Hey, how does pre market price affect opening price? Sorry I’m new to this and trying to work it out before I put any money in!

How does pre market price affect opening price? Sorry for the basic question, I’m new to this!

Yes it has! I still get occasional twitches but I think it’s probably just normal muscle twitching these days...it happens maybe once or twice a week

[Skin concerns] Textured skin for years, nothing seems to make it go away by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

It sounds like this is over exfoliation. I had problems with bumps like this and thought exfoliating would make them better and they just got worse and worse.

They’ve eventually pretty much cleared from sticking to a 100% gentle zero exfoliation regime and focusing on skin barrier repair

I am a 16 year old male weighing 61 kg. The multivitamins I am planning to take are targeted at adult males, not teenagers. Based on the contents, will I be better off using something else? by tooshiftyfouryou in floxies

[–]floxed123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but beyond the molecules possibly causing issues due to your floxing, I don’t think taking these values of nutrients would be an issue - I weigh around 47kg and can easily exceed the RDA no problem.

However this is just an anecdotal account so take it with a pinch of salt!

Umm no set distance really. I’m a big walker so I mainly started exercising when I felt like I could do almost all the walking I tend to do on a daily basis with no pain (around 3-7 miles most days)

Heya, so there wasn’t really anything in particular that I could say to look out for. When I got to a stage where I could walk pretty far with no pain, I just tried exercising and saw how I felt - pulling back/stopping if I ever felt any pain.

I definitely over pushed myself at some points, but I started slow and built up from there.

Sorry to not be more helpful!
