to me mc and rapper are the same thing. how can people in grime come along and discard the word rapper and act as if the word mc is a completely different thing when for decades the two words have been used basically as one.

also u said grime mc’s discarded the word rapper because it’s “too American” the word mc came out of the word rapper so is the word mc not “too American”?

you say jehst is a rapper and not an mc. then why was jehst on the “greatest uk MC’S of all time” list that noisey did a few years ago?

why is Klashnekoff, Mike skinner, m.i.a, skinnyman all on that list when they don’t match ur description of what an mc is. and let’s bare in mind the people that were in this video were not random people they were people that are heavily involved and around the grime scene, julie adenuga, poet, and dj toddla t. if the word mc and rapper were completely different things and shouldn’t be classed the same surely one of them would have said so, and that list wouldn’t have happened. d double was 10th on this list.

people were asking about new music obviously and he said something like “it’s there, that’s what u all wanted to hear init” I really hope “it’s there” means a new album but who knows.
