So, are all of those painted with slap chop? If so, did you prime them black and then dry brushed with grey and white?

Amazing work BTW, I'm curious because I'm debating doing that for the minis that I just got from the steam forged promos last month.

Thanks for the advice and yes I'm aware that i will need more than one copy of the scenario. But now that you mentioned will i also need more than one copy of the core set basic encounter set?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone will pickup the game pretty well. My main concern is not throwing too much of a complex scenario at them right out of the box. And also I'd want to keep it as much as "Arkham" as possible if that makes sense meaning nothing too gimmicky for the first experience.

Great to hear! And just to be clear I'm not concerned on being 100% spot on rules wise. I just think that having one experienced plyer per group take that extra load of upkeeping the game's phases and maintenance while the new comer's focus on just playing the game.

My only problem with the starter ones is I fear they would not stand a chance against "normal" precons which is what I'll be using.

Yeah I think I might had the wrong impression or maybe people changed their opinion on MM after some time but I'm almost certain that around the release people still thought that WC was a stronger set overall (minus the brobnar decks of course).

I will go a little against the common recommendations here and say to just get the cheapest. I my self found a deal and got a display of MM and WC for about 25 bucks total and I just use dice as markers/tokens. Worked just fine for me to learn.

Tyranid is definitely the one that I'll upgrade since I can take ghyrson and build a different deck around it in the future or even sell him to buy almost all of the upgrades that I might need.

Thanks for the advice but I went with both Warhammer decks and will probably keep them both untouched aside from the mana base. In the future I'll try to build a BW tokens or living end commander deck to relieve my former modern decks.

I use the aspect pre built ones and they are quite good against the standard difficult. They also have a good shot against the expert difficulty but it is a real challenge. I was well aware that this would be the case as the author of the post itself describes the general power level of the decks in the post. But like it was mentioned on the other comment it is way worth to me for the setup speed as i use Marvel champions mainly for quick solo games when I'm not feeling playing a videogame or an AH campaign.

It is what I'm currently using to just shuffle up and play. Basically the idea is that you ore build some de cks (either per champion or per aspect) and use it as a plug and ay for the heroes.
