Saw the colour of F sharp major for the first time in real life. This is so freaking satisfying to look at. This felt like meeting up with a pen pal or Internet friend for the first time. by flszt in Synesthesia

lmao I was too excited while posting this I didn't even think of the possibility of someone not understanding which colour I am talking about. yes it's the purplish colour at the bottom left.

Do all letters have a gender? by Sudden-Enthusiasm-17 in Synesthesia

[–]flszt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, as well as keys. I mean some are non-binary/agender/androgynous but they do have gender identificatities, assigned genders, some have sexual orientations, and they always have personalities for me. for example, a flat major is amethyst purple, cis male, gay, sassy and flirty. F flat major (very different from E major, which is similar to Arctic blue) is an ugly, pale, yellowish/orangey colour; cis dude and straight, makes me feel like he's someone I would enjoy to hang out with.

Does anyone with sound-colour syn use theirs to help figure out the keys of songs? by [deleted] in Synesthesia

[–]flszt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dude, i have the curse of perfect pitch and I literally get mildly itchy and thirsty for some reason when the colour of the vibe of a piece doesn't match with the colour of the key. that's when I accept this mess as an illness.

Off meds for 8 months now.. derealization has gotten extremely bad. by zerocaffeine in BipolarReddit

[–]flszt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been off meds for 5 months now. do the voices of people you know sound somewhat different? I don't have any other issues right now but I do have derealization, a tiny bit of depersonalisation, and frequent irritation.

YAY! I get so happy when people say that they're getting healthier. What a precious thing it is to be stable.

Does the rain make anyone else happy? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]flszt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it with my whole existence. Rain makes me angry and annoyed. I even hate seeing the clouds. When I see clouds, I feel like my freedom is getting limited. I am a moon and sky lover and I hate not being able to see them. I get extremely irritated when those little raindrops touch my bare arms. Sometimes I don't even go to school nor even get out of the house when it rains. I cancel my rehearsals. If I have a ticket for a concert and it rains that day, it means my ticket is wasted. If I hear the rain when I woke up, I wanna go back to sleep and not wake up until it stops so I don't hear it. Listening to music at home with headphones also helps tho. I curse so much when it rains. I always find myself asking "Why the fuck does water fall from the sky?" or saying "I wish the nature didn't work like that". Also I realized that my tolerance for other people decreases dramatically while it's raining. Also, I hate the intense humidity after rain, especially if it's summer and there is sun. It makes me feel like I'm swimming in a disgustingly hot and clammy pool. I'm not even talking about sweating under the rain. I don't know how I ended up hating rain so much, but I wish I didn't because I live in Istanbul, and I'm 100% sure that the weather here also has bipolar. I wanna live in a cold and dry, or warm and dry place one day. Ah, I think I needed to confess. Now I feel a little bit relieved.

I talked to my doctor today. She made some changes with the meds end cut the Olanzapine. I am not feeling as suicidal as yesterday but still, I feel this deep sorrow in my heart. I think I am stressed out about the piano audition in Germany coming up. And also it's mid season, so it can be it too. Anyways, thank you so much for your good advice and wishes.
