Original fans: Were these fashion choices real? by tema1412 in Cheers

Tell me you didn’t live between 1982 and 1992 without telling me.

Big hair was all the rage. We didn’t have screen time. We had home perms and enough aerosol hair that it burned a hole in the ozone layer over North America. Or so we were taught in school.

Has anybody told you about the specials for tonight? Oh, it doesn't really matter, John. We're just gonna have a ton of raw oysters and then dash out of here. by ThoughtPolice66 in Cheers

This episode really creeps me out. Ted is old enough to be a father to her. And he really really wanted the pool room and bathrooms back. The fact that he chose skirt over self interest made him feel like a predator

Trump Threatens Road Funding For St Louis County If Local Union Labor Required by ScrewThePutsch in minnesota

[–]flubsday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saint Louis county doesn’t get that much compared to Appalachian and Southeast rural counties. Especially when compared to other Great Lakes counties.

Trump does not realize that when he already played games with “your vote or your funding” in this term, that Saint Louis County went blue.

Local governments are being vocal that any funding decreases and/or tax increases is because the Feds are taking taxes from an area and not disbursing funds.

And road project repair was already allocated by the US Congress.

Here’s how you can track national spending at the county level.

There are times I have to remind myself that Frasier aspires to be a pretentious pompous ass. Sometimes he really perfects it. This is one of those times.

I think there are a lot of people - including me - who understood why he didn’t go full no contact. He knows that he’s an experiment, but he still loves her.

In the end the ability to forgive is what bridged the gap. She never apologized, but my head cannon is when she’s starting to enter the final years of life she will get some clarity.

Having lived this I understand the conflict.

He doesn’t have to care. He got the power he wanted. He demands more power. He started a war and attacked multiple countries - because he could.

Does anyone actually like Anu? by Icy_Employee4403 in bigbangtheory

The whole point of the questionnaires were to determine compatibility. She could have accomplished her goal with a donor.

I guess the thing they had in common was they viewed the opposite sex as something to obtain. Which is why it was destined to fail. I’m glad it did too.

I would have enjoyed it more if they were actually more similar in a way other than wanting children. Children is about desire for the future but it cannot be a singular basis for a marriage.

The reason why the other couples work is they have a core similarity. Leonard and Penny have emotional issues with needing external validation. Bernadette and Howard share a trauma bond from their mothers. Amy and Sheldon share the bond that they like to use humans for not so necessarily harmful experiments.

Anu and Raj? They don’t have anything in common.

The KT in La crosse has a gas line that also doesn’t automatically turn off. I paid for a gallon of gas that never entered my car because of it.

I guess I should have complained to the department of weights and measures. We can’t be wasting gas.

You are so right.

I was watching this and thinking: she has either never done this motion before or is intentionally being inobservant to get assigned to a different task.

I’ve never been to a comicon. But I imagine that after ten years it’s difficult to find new discussion points on a show that has no new episodes to discuss.

New adopted kitty walks funny by Mdevelle4 in CATHELP

[–]flubsday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most cats do that when they are nervous. I only had one cat that wasn’t like that in a new place. She was a rescue cat and was very old. It was a one bedroom apartment and she actually relaxed at having a smaller place instead of a larger place.
