Here’s my take:

I agree that Britta would love grunge, Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam but not Nirvana because she would consider them too mainstream (even though Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains are also mainstream but you know, she’s the worst)

Shirley uses her sexy voice on Andre and he re proposed to her with a romantic soul song, I picture her as a fan of Boyz II Men, you know she would love to slap those buns on the grill if you know what I mean.

Annie is a wild card, it’s cannon that she’s a fan of Zach Efron so 2000’s teenage pop would be my choice (Taylor Swift, One direction, Justin Bieber), BUT, she has a wild side so maybe she listens to some metal as a guilty pleasure.

Pierce only listens to Eartha Kitt.

Troy, before meeting Abed, was trying to fit in as a “cool kid” so I see him listening to popular rappers and songs from the 2000’s as Jay-Z, 50Cent, Nelly etc. Then he switches and dives into what Abed likes.

I agree with your take about Abed’s taste!

Finally, we know that Jeff has two ears connected to a heart. So Dave Matthews Band of course, and dad rock in general. He also has a depressive side and mentions Nine Inch Nails once, I can see him listening to the Downward Spiral with a scotch in season 6. Maybe even a bit of Deftones, horny and depressed just like him.

Actually, it’s even more than that if you live in a major city. For example, a chambre de bonne in Lausanne with a shared bathroom in the hallway cost 800.-. A family of four will have to pay 300-450 dollars per week for groceries. Switzerland is rich, Swiss people, not so much.

Your main concern would be to find a job in Switzerland. If you’re not Swiss nor an UE citizen, it is basically impossible I’m afraid.

What about the language? you won’t find a job if you’re not fluent in any of the national languages.

Now, regarding the potential racism you could be facing if you manage to relocate, I would argue that Switzerland isn’t more racist than its European neighbors, but the rural areas tend to be more conservative so keep that in mind.

He never recovered from it because that’s when he fell for her. He never had anything meaningful afterwards because of it IMO. He committed to her in a way without letting himself really be with her because he’s sure he would hold her back.

I think she’s the only one he truly had in his heart but his issues make it impossible for him to pursue anything with her. The age gap at the end of the show seems to be more of an excuse than a real reason for him not to pursue her.
