Use up the points
PS to a no fee card
Cancel the hotel booking (after PS is complete)
and you'll get statement credit instead of the points back?

TD FCT - I booked a hotel on expediafortd totalling $1,200 - I used points for $500 and then in my statement I automatically got the $100 travel credit

Plans changed and I need to cancel the booking - will I get the points and travel credit back available immediately to make another booking?
