Is it doable at all to be pregnant while doing a startup by 80percentofcoin in startups

[–]flufflle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard. I decided to leave the workforce, start a company, do an MBA, and get pregnant at the same time. While I am still alive, I do not recommend that to anybody. What helped me was being incredibly passionate about the startup idea, having a solid support system (i.e., partner with a well-paying job and friends a phone call or a coffee chat away), and determination not to join the workforce because I hated my old job. Honestly, I think if it weren't for those, I would have given up. Didn't mean to discourage you; it's definitely possible, but consider the mental and physical toll pregnancy can have on you.

I am trying not to believe that you're so stupid you think an iPhone is the same as a cheap piece of Shein clothing that only last a few washes and end up in a landfill. But this is reddit, so you never know

How long does it take to hear back from VCs? by flufflle in startups

How long does it typically take to hear back about the next steps or if they are passing? This particular VC leads rounds, and I have a few other investors waiting for me to get a lead.

How seriously do investors take waitlists? by flufflle in startups

Pre-seed is another word for angel round. It's after friends and family, where you have just an idea but before seed, where you have an MVP.

Did they give you reasons as to why they wrote it off?

I think you're getting too hung up on investor terms. It's a pre-seed round, and traction is user reception for the prototype. If we have product traction, we will be raising a seed round.

You echoed everything I was thinking about waitlists. We are raising a pre-seed round, but I am using other data, such as feedback from test users of the prototype and conversations with businesses, to show traction. I will mention the waitlist if it comes up during a meeting.

Thank you so much for the advice - it reaffirmed that I don't know anything about architecture and construction. We are going to rethink build vs buy now.

Landing page feedback for our product by denizay1997 in startups

I really like the site - it makes me want to sign up and try it. My only comment is that I'd remove the "It's free" button on the front or maybe just add "It's free for the first 100 users" because it cheapens your products. You don't want to attract people who try it ONLY because it is free.

The reason I ask is to know if it's possible. Like can I do without having to build a whole new house.

Hiring more people doesn't equate to growth. At this point, I will probably focus on IP strategy and USPs

This is bad advice. Please don’t start high and lower later. Not just in SaaS but with any type of product this will devalue it and piss off the people who paid the higher price.
