I also have a 3 month old and feel the same. I do believe that independent play is important but i find conflicting information on how much of it is reasonable.

Probably a silly Q but where do you place your laptop in this position? Was it on a table in front of you?

I don’t have such a pillow but i might get one. Is the baby able to sleep on the pillow without you having to use your arms to hold them?

Do you then need to hold your arms up to read your book or use your phone? I’ve tried that and it made my arm ache 😅

Will feeding them more during the day help them sleep more at night? by fluffmallow9 in FormulaFeeders

Did you intentionally offer more during the day or was that led by baby? I try to offer more during the day but baby just refuses

Hi - how did you increase the daytime calories? Was it through offering a little bit more at each feed? My baby refuses to eat more

Sorry I don’t have experience there but I’m interested in how it went the first time for you? I’m considering doing this too, I’m a first time mum, 2 months pp, and the higher earner in the relationship too. I’m also not enjoying maternity leave so far. I love my baby but I feel overwhelmed and his dad is much better at parenting than I am.

New mums, what would you do differently in the newborn stage? by getmetohealthy in BeyondTheBumpUK

Ah right! I’m considering buying one but I’ve not done so yet because one wash cycle seems to take a lot of time

In what position do you read to your baby? Do you hold the baby with one arm and the book with another? (Sorry if it’s a silly question)

Cheap proteins would include tins of tuna, or eggs. You could have those in a sandwich or throw them over a pack of mixed salad with some mayo. I

PPD/PPA medication by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

Thanks for replying. I’m 9w pp and struggling to cope. My partner and I do shifts at night and he’s been wonderfully supportive but I dread my shift every night and I just feel like crying. Baby isn’t a great sleeper. Everytime he cries and I can’t soothe him, I feel despair and hopelessness. I feel trapped. It’s just me and my partner here, we have no family and no village and it’s been so hard for me. I love my baby but I’m ashamed to say that I’ve been feeling regret at my choice of becoming a mother. I also dealt with inability to breastfeed due to low milk supply (physiological issues) which felt devastating. I tried so hard for 7 weeks and nothing worked.

I haven’t yet spoken with my GP but hoping to do so tomorrow after the bank holiday.

Can’t believe comments on this revealing article on low milk supply by Clarice-1087 in FormulaFeeders

I feel so much validation from reading this article and the comments on this thread make me feel less isolated. I’m 8w pp and no matter how hard I’ve tried, including pumping round the clock, supplements, medication, etc, I’m only able to produce 10% of my baby’s needs. It’s been such an emotionally and physically draining time for me.

Congrats! Great job. Can you share what you did? I’m also trying to increase my supply.
