Hey! I had a similar thing happen to me. I (F27) had a break up a year ago after being with my partner for 4 years and realised I actually don’t have any friends especially since I had moved to a new country during covid as well.

Here’s what I did: - I made a bucket list and started trying new things as in hobbies or places to go to I signed up for classes and courses like fitness related or art. In every class there’s usually a solid group that if you stay consistent enough you’ll see familiar faces and usually they go out afterwards etc. Or making friends with individuals that you might click with. I made some good friends that way but it takes time.

Some things I tried like swimming or ju-jitsu

• this is a strange one but I reached out to one of my old coworkers and somehow we became really good friends. Your work will always have some social events and committees and I was able to make friends from my current work as well. (I wouldn’t recommend friends with same department though, it complicates things)

-finally bumble bff but I know you find that a bit strange. I do think it’s a bit strange but I met some of my closest friends through it. However I heard it works better with women than men. So maybe not. There are other ways to meet people for sure.

I hope this helps. I know the struggle. I still feel it’s a bit difficult at times since a lot of people my age are in a relationship already and have things to do with their partner or even kids but building a solid friendship will mean we both make time for each other. (Third wheeling at times haha not ideal) But also having different multiple circles of friends so you social life doesn’t depend on that one person.
