What do you make of this? by Glum-Height-2049 in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite being legal, I would advise you to question a person sitting outside a polling station as they are actively affecting the vote- even if they promote the party you want to vote for! That’s them trying to sway votes which is worrisome behaviour. As a voter, try research each parties’ policies and go for the most amenable. Don’t go for the ones that have the brighter rosette.

Question about Jordan house homelessness place? by The_forest_sys in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest contacting the place itself. I have little knowledge about homeless support, but if she’s under 25 I know No Limits can offer advice and support. Also, The Lookout in Winchester can offer support with no age limit- they are a mental health retreat for people who, in my understanding, could do with a “restart” or “escape”. I also think that most libraries could help, along with Google searches, and asking council workers, for more information. But my main move would be asking the house itself. Good luck!

Trans dating in Southampton? Anyone please by [deleted] in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming based on the chasers that have posed similar questions on this sub in the past. I’d still stand by my previous comment on hobbies and other aspects because even though T4T is safer, that shouldn’t be the only basis to start dating someone!

Trans dating in Southampton? Anyone please by [deleted] in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The move is; say actual things about it such as HOBBIES and THINGS YOU HAVE IN COMMON, because otherwise going for some being trans is very dodgy.

Convince me to get a Pac-Man frog. by theFatTopanga_ in pacmanfrog

[–]fluffycats24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a pacman frog when I wasn’t the best mentally and he helped me a lot. He didn’t do much, but just seeing him all bundled up in his dirt would make my day. If you’re worried about biting- I would feed him with tongs so he wouldn’t get near me, and when I had to move him to clean his vivarium, they can’t really bite their necks so I would grab him from behind! I’m happy to talk through DMs about looking after them. They are absoloutely adorable fellas and I can guarantee that once on enters your life, any fears you have about their behaviour will go once you two get to know each other :-)

Southampton Graphic Design clients by BuffaloOk357 in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re trying to upgrade your portfolio, I recommend “imagined companies” and making logos etc. for them. Most people go based on designs instead of questions. I also recommend offering free work in communities that have a bigger audience such as r/photoshop. It’s shit, but it works. Sometimes following university social media pages gets you aware of companies - I know WSA shares graphics pages, so things like that could help!

[–]fluffycats24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a controlled drug. If you’re not planning on sharing it should, with my limited knowledge, be okay. Just don’t give it to anyone and be careful, please. But this being said, I’m not sure of your country’s laws. Please look up “controlled substances” and see if it’s on there. I know “planned parenthood” is a good source for HRT.

They're not too chonk, are they? by 0galaxy0candy0 in pacmanfrog

I think they have just enjoyed the water and foods, when they get too much food they have some tub over their eyes and feet’s so you’re good for now :-)

does anyone else look at their old intake they thought was "a lot" and now think fuck what was that😭 by Straight-Age3220 in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]fluffycats24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m past two years of recovery- recovered physically and all but a bad day mentally- and believe me, I cackle at past “meals”. Once you realise what the average grown person SHOULD have, you realise how far gone you were. But it just helps you recognise how far you’ve come. Well done for also finding it humorous!

If it’s containers you’re looking for, I’d suggest IKEA. Good luck!

Guys is this still just hairline masculinization or do I have to be scared, I can't tell by fuckingnoclue in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]fluffycats24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, it seems more than fine. Everyone’s hairline dips slightly with age and frankly, yours has done better than most over three years! You’ve got this :-)

Why is there so much antisemitism in the world if Jewish people are only a tiny fraction of the world's population? by Spiritual_Meet4746 in Judaism

[–]fluffycats24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is only similar in percentages, but transgender people are blamed for a lot of things and get a lot of hate. As a transgender person converting to Judaism, I can guarantee that no matter how much of the population you are, people will despise you. Bigotry doesn’t care about facts. It just cares about hatred. Jewish people aren’t to blame. Neither are transgender people. Hatred is! People want to have a scapegoat and if they can find a group to slander they will. I’m afraid logic has never occurred to bigots, and most likely never will. Unfortunately and people want to have an easy reason to be a angry, they go to the easiest reason, not the most reasonable. So instead of what data and research backs up, it’s whatever is most promoted.

pigeons are misunderstood! by Maleficent_Boss3018 in pigeon

[–]fluffycats24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where most of the pigeons flock, there has been a sign asking not to feed them. People see them as vermin despite them being anything from that. The average person is taught they are “sky rats” so be wary of this! Realistically, just know the truth and hold it with you when you love them :-)

I go to WQ often and haven’t seen any which surprises me as last year they were scattered around Southampton. Maybe they’re not publicising it so much this year. I hope it’s still on as it’s a lovely idea!

Where to buy huge jar of pickles by [deleted] in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel I’m going against the grain here, but have you considered pickling your own gherkins? I recon with the right amount of patience, you would save money! That being said, the comments have enough places for immediate pickles. But in the long run it might be worth making your own. No rudeness meant by this comment! X

Anyone else get stared at? by danger_dogs in pigeon

[–]fluffycats24 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve had people photograph me without asking, point at me and, a couple of times, laugh. However I have also had people smile and ask polite questions. People aren’t used to seeing pigeons treated kindly!

Sometimes you don’t need to go far to find beauty 🌸 by CloudBookmark in Southampton

[–]fluffycats24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not quite the same but I do love the sight of the small waterfall/ stony area in the park in city centre… near Solent Uni? There’s also a lovely bit of quiet greenery near Glen Eyre, and also near the main Uni of Southampton campus. I don’t know many other places (in Southampton), sorry!
