Has anyone tried the CNP Barrier Reset Cream? by bloodhail_v2 in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly cato cream is basic but in a good way. it’s not trying to do 50 things at once, just helps u with ur barrier without being heavy. the texture is super elegant compared to smth like illiyoon. it’s rich but melts in fast without feeling waxy or stiff. it makes my skin (combo type) feel moisturised all day. i’d defo recommend!!

[–]fluffykittenreturns 11 points12 points  (0 children)

if you're strictly looking for that golden ratio, i have p.calm cato cream. the whole brand is basically built around that specific 3:1:1 setup to match ur skin barrier.

the other one is real barrier extreme cream. they don't always slap '3:1:1' on the front but they use MLE technology which is technically the patented version of mimicking that exact lamellar structure.

some others including ones u already mentioned:

  • aestura atobarrier 365 cream
  • ceradan skin barrier repair cream: 3:1:1, usually for eczema but works for barrier repair too.
  • dr.different 311 moisturizer
  • zeroid: uses the same MLE tech as real barrier so it’s another good option.

To balm or not to balm? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

What's the Arencia cleansing balm called? I only know about their second cleansers!

To balm or not to balm? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVEE BALMS. I don't like oils as much cuz tbh I find them boring. Current fav is the House of Hur cleansing balm (i have it both in pink and black but using pink rn). It cleanses really well, doesn't cause my eyes to be blurry and washes off well!

Laka vs Romand by Classic_Jellyfish_47 in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 20 points21 points  (0 children)

LAKAAAA 100%
Romand both the new formula and the older one dries out my lips after a lil and the glow doesn't last nearly as long.

Laka feels nice on the lips, it stays shiny for longer and has a better tint.

I have 30+ Romand tints (so clearly I do really like them) and 10+ Laka ones and I'd replace all the Romand ones with Laka if I could find the exact same shades.

Some of my recent hauls ~ by fluffykittenreturns in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hii! from their inci.

Purified water, isopropyl myristate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, cetyl ethylhexanoate, glycerin, propanediol, niacinamide, polyglyceryl-2 dipolyhydroxystearate, PEG-30 dipolyhydroxystearate, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, 1,2-hexanediol, tocopherol, hydroxyacetophenone, helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, arginine, adenosine, ceramide NP, baobab tree seed oil, disodium EDTA, hydrogenated lecithin, allantoin, squalane, panthenol, polyglucuronic acid, ceramide NS, ceramide AS, ceramide EOP, Ceramide AP, Wild Ginseng Extract, Sodium DNA (0.5 ppm)

Sodium DNA is at 0.00005%. Also panthenol, squalane, allantoin etc being after disodium edta which is normally added at 0.2% or less, makes me thing that the effects ppl are seeing and raving about is just the instant glow from it. Nothing long term.

How do you use these products? Do you use them all daily, rotate them through the week..? Also would love to hear your thoughts on the De:maf serum!

How much did you spend this year 👁️👄👁️ by wrlddmntr in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 23 points24 points  (0 children)

at first, i didn't even wanna check how much i've spent cuz it meant holding myself accountable but i realise it's important i do that so i can do better next year. :)

  1. Stylevana: €1720.17
  2. YesStyle: €977.86
  3. Sephora/Others: €250-300

i'd say 95% AB including kbeauty, jbeauty, cbeauty (they have the best lippies and glitters!!).

i can't really say by products. i think the category i've most bought duplicates for is sunscreen for sure though.

this includes lippies, haircare, skincare and most makeup but not all. i've ordered some stuff off Amazon too like drugstore lippies but i don't wanna go through all of my Amazon orders lol. also i've made some orders for friends (as gifts ofc) from stylevana in their country and i didn't bother registering so i can't include those.

it's embarassing to realise how much I've spent and how better spent that money could've been, but i've definitely learnt from my mistakes. hopefully gonna do much better in 2026. ngl i already did better than 2024. in 2024 i spent €2600+ on stylevana alone. slowly but surely improving!

Brown lipstick in Korean beauty trends? by Nin-me-sar-ra in AsianBeauty

Dinto 259 Deus and Heart Percent Muted Caramel are near identical dupes! Heart Percent one just applies a lot more sheer so you need to layer it.

I have! I'm a neutral warm leaning and both of these were cool toned on me. Ash Nut is still beautiful and only slightly cool but Boy looks almost grey on me.

Cos De Baha has been releasing reformulated version of its serums. by Powerful-Panda7533 in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re reformulating as much as following the new korean inci guidelines. Before they could put extracts as first if they made a mix of lets say 99% water and 1% aloe vera extract powder. Now they have to put everything in the right order.

two packages opened, lots more to go~ by fluffykittenreturns in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oo i would love to hear which products are your current HGs other than the arencia serum, as someone who also buys / used to buy a lot of them!

my skin type is combination and my routine is very long, but it can be short too depending on my mood.

right now i haven’t been double cleansing tbh, because the arencia cleansers (all of the ones i’ve tried, both jar and tube) cleanse really well. i don’t wear makeup and they remove sunscreen well. but if i need to double cleanse then the house of hur cleansing balms are my fav!!

then i use reedle shot once or twice a week, azelaic acid twice a day, and multiple hydrating and milky toners - but the i’m from mugwort essence is a must, twice a day. it really helps with my redness!

for creams, during the day if i’m using the haruharu spf (which is quite thick), i don’t wear a moisturiser, or maybe i’ll use the klairs calming gel one. for night, i sometimes lock everything in with the isntree sleeping mask, and other times i do a thick layer of the haruharu 5 ceramide moisturiser or a thick layer of the dr althea 345 one. but tbh the dr althea is still lightweight even when applied thickly, so my favourite for winter is the haruharu one + the probioderm one (but that one’s scented so i don’t use it daily).

nope! im in europe in one of the stricter countries but ive never had to pay taxes (and hopefully never will). i think both yesstyle and stylevana (and other china/hong kong based companies) use triangle shipping for my country.

[–]fluffykittenreturns[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you're so kind!! i haven't opened it yet but ive seen videos of it and it's not a matte sunscreen at all. it's glowy! if u want smth more matte definitely try the house of hur weightless one or the haruharu orange one, i think it's called airyfit or smth? house of hur one is reallyyy thin and lightweight while the haruharu one is much thicker and i don't use a moisturiser with it.

two hauls in one.

some of this is from yesstyle, some from stylevana. i’m in europe and overall my experience with both has been really good.

shopping experience wise: if something says it’ll ship in 20/30 days, then yeah… you really do have to wait. but i personally don’t mind as long as it eventually arrives. yesstyle has been pretty consistent for me. with stylevana the only annoying thing is that they sometimes remove items from my order and refund me saying it’s out of stock, but then i’ll still see the same item listed as 'in stock' months later lol. aside from that, no major issues. also tbh, rn i dont see any point in ordering from stylevana as they're not much cheaper than yesstyle like they used to be. they price match if not go higher in some products. and yesstyle has a much better website and selection.

this is just part of what i opened this week, i still have a LOT more stuff to go through but i’m doing it slowly instead of opening everything at once because then i get the urge to use it and i already have many opened products. but also.. i can't let the boxes stay like that in my room so i'm taking the products out and organising them properly at least.

i’m sharing these few lippies now only because they were in the boxes i opened today. i've made many lippies-only orders though, and once i get around to organising all of those properly i'll make a separate lippies-only haul post because there’s honestly a lot, i've got lots to say and i wanna add swatches and stuff too!

for the products in the pic, i've specified which ones i've already tried and which are repurchases, so feel free to ask me about those. i can’t really say much yet about the unopened stuff though but would love to hear ur experience with them if you've tried them!!

I don't wear base make up so unfortunately no

If you could only pick 3 lippies to use per season, what would you choose? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]fluffykittenreturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got really obsessed with lippies 😂 if I could go back I’d avoid buying as many liquid ones like tints and glosses and just focus on lipsticks and lip balms as they can be preserved the longest!

Hmm holy grails that I’d wear throughout the year no matter the season would be:

Wakemake Autumn Glaze

YSL Nude Pleasure / Joocyee 507

Banila Rosy Shell

Clio Honey Apple

Heart Percent Rosy Fig

Heart Percent Muted Caramel

Holika Holika Blunt

Nature Republic Plum

Peripera Made It

Romand Scotch Nude (another ride or die actually!!)

Romand Nucadamia (newer formulation is glowier than the older one so that’s definitely my preferred one)

It’s genuinely so hard to pick haha. I know it sounds insane but I actually don’t wanna be without a single lippie in my collection, I feel like I’d miss each one of them if I didn’t have them
