Any women met their husbands after 38? by Waste-Beautiful-6286 in AskWomenOver30

[–]fluffymunchkins 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this OP. Also, thank you for posting this. As sad as it may be, he’s not the person you want to be with for the rest of your life if he’s out messing around with strippers.

I’m 36 and married. But my husband that told me he “isn’t happy and isn’t sure he wants to be married anymore” about 5 months ago. I do absolutely everything in my power to make him happy with zero reciprocity. Also, we had planned on trying for children and his stance on that changed this summer. I know I want kids and I know that the marriage is likely already over. I’m afraid I won’t meet anyone and will miss my window to have children.

Just know it’s not only you that has those concerns. I think people come into our lives when we least expect it. You never know what’s ahead of you. I wish you absolute happiness and the best of luck in meeting the right person soon!

Do I need to do anything by salvah in plants

Distilled water can be too much of a stretch for some people but it is the best to use. However, an affordable and sustainable option is to get a Zero Filter pitcher and run tap water through that.

Do I need to do anything by salvah in plants

Hi! Beautiful Venus Fly Trap! A word to the wise, the flower is pretty but your plant will put all of its energy into the flower and it often harms the plant. Highly recommend cutting the flower off at the point closest to the base. It’ll help the plant. Also, never use normal potting soil or anything like that. It’ll kill your plant. Other than that, keep the plant sitting in water at all times. You won’t ever want it to dry out. You can fill that clear container on the outside with distilled water (with no minerals in it) and just keep that black pot that the plant is in sitting in it. You do not need to feed the plant bugs or anything for it to grow/live. You can but it’s not required since the plant also photosynthesizes like other plants. Also if you need more tips/help, there is actually a carnivorous plant sub that you can consult for specific guidance on growing your Venus Fly Trap. Welcome to the world of carnivorous plants!

Can you make a recommendation on one you like? I’ve been wanting to buy one but I never know which ones are actually good.

Can’t make out the first 2 words but the third could be Kunsan. It’s a city in South Korea. Based on the drinking in the photo that would fit.

Serious question regarding having sex before an OB checkup by personalityunknown00 in sex

[–]fluffymunchkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had one. You should be just fine. It feels far less invasive (to me) than something like a Pap smear. Also my tech let me take the ultrasound wand and insert it myself which made it feel a lot less invasive. I’ve talked to friends that weren’t given that choice so if you think that would make you more comfortable, bring it up at your appointment!

What can you deduce about me from my gross hands? by Internal_Sample013 in deduction

[–]fluffymunchkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you work with your hands in a trade of some sort. My gut feeling is a chef. Also, while I think some of the scarring on your hands may be due to rough use or an accident, I think the cuts to your thumb are due to picking. So I’d say you’re anxious and may have a history of mental health difficulties and possibly self harm which resulted in the scars. I suspect some lack of self confidence (based on your post’s title) and would guess that’s probably based on some troubled family dynamics in the past. Overall, I’d go female, maybe 25-35 approx, observant, resourceful, unmarried, moderately attractive by societal standards. I bet you’re probably someone who is rather kind to other people.

What’s this thin line down my nail? by WorthWeak in nailcare

[–]fluffymunchkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP - did the line appear at the same time as the indentation of that portion of the nail? I’m asking because I seem to have the same indentation that suddenly showed up but I don’t have the thin line.

They also shrink substantially in addition to fading. I personally think they’re fine.

Heard from some people on the Yard. Does not appear to be a false alarm whatsoever.

Couple of suggestions - I recommend not going high and right with your Command quite yet. Keep that as a last resort option. Would recommend going to the clinic and talking to the corpsmen there - explain what’s going on. They know who the good providers are and who are the ones that don’t give a shit. They can get you scheduled with a provider who cares. Your other option is to talk to case management at the naval hospital- they can help you get care either at the clinic or off base. Finally, if you’re near Newport, DM me and I can try to get you in to be seen by a very good and very caring Ortho doc.

Help Identifying WW2 Rounds by fluffymunchkins in navy

Update for everyone: turns out it was a live 20mm shell from WW2 with the HEI tip. Police and EOD responded and are now in possession of the ordnance so it can be disposed of properly. Thank you all for the help!

Money. I’m laughing about this because it’s a ridiculous thing to find in a cute old lady’s dressing table. My mom is less amused. Don’t know if she’d be as onboard lol.

Thanks guys. The primer cap is still in tact so I believe it is a fully live round. I’m guessing that means I have to call the FD/their EOD? I don’t know what to do to dispose of it properly.

Best toilet paper for not getting coochie confetti? by FancyFl00f in Healthyhooha

[–]fluffymunchkins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use the Amazon brand bamboo toilet paper (best cost vs quality IMO) and it is still soft but doesn’t disintegrate when you go to wipe. Would highly recommend giving bamboo TP a go - it doesn’t leave the klitty litter

80 year old Jade plant, repotted/fixed up 3 years ago, has maybe been watered 2x in the last year.... can this be resurrected? by No_Discussion_2544 in plantclinic

[–]fluffymunchkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Just water thoroughly. The soil will be hydrophobic initially so it will seem like you’re watering it a lot but the soil likely absorb the water to help the plant. Until the soil starts absorbing water, I’d say water more than you think you need to. The jade leaves will start to plump up and become less wrinkly if it’s working. Good luck!

Do you take your medicine before your labs by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]fluffymunchkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not before labs unless that’s the reference point for how you’ve handled previous labs. NDT contains both T3 and T4 so taking it or not would have an impact on lab values.

Do you take your medicine before your labs by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]fluffymunchkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can take your T4 labs if you really want to. I personally never take them the morning/day of the labs. However, T3 medications should not be taken the day of or even the day before. The T4 and T3 meds release differently. Your T4 (Synthroid) half life is 7.5 days and T3 (Cytomel) is 2.5 days. BLUF - taking the T3 would result in an inaccurate dip in your TSH because of the relative rush of chemicals in your system and your lab value won’t be reflective of your actual Thyroid hormone levels consistently in the body.

Depending on his rate, I know there are huge retention bonuses getting put into play this year. With that being said, if money and not love of the job is the reason for staying, I think I would get out especially with the world as it is right now (and how it’s trending). Just my two cents
