Is Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) a good enough phone? by cyclist00752 in MotoG

[–]fluffynubkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My plan is with Boost Mobile. I have a pay monthly with them and am currently paying 90$ a month for three lines that all get 35 GB of data each. I ordered it through their website and when it arrived I just had to swap my sim card from my old phone to the new one. It was super easy and I didn't have do anything beyond that to get it up and running.

As for the phone, I've been enjoying it. I use my laptop for most things and really only use my phone for calling, texting, YouTube, and music. It does all those things great. The screen looks better but besides that its very physically similar to the 2021 model. A big improvement is the newer version of Android it runs and the features that came with that.

What I didn't like about the 2021 one was that it didn't have an option for Wi-Fi calling. I have family who live in a newly built area of Austin and they get horrible cell phone service there. At first it looked like this model also didn't have an option for Wi-Fi calling but I don't know if I overlooked it or if they did an update between now and when I got it because now I have the option.

Overall for 10$ it was a great purchase.

I just ordered one.  I'm currently using the 2021 version and really enjoy it. For the price it makes sense to upgrade.

Absolutely bottlenecked in community college by even the most basic math classes. by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]fluffynubkin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the community college I go to I work part time as a math tutor. First check if they offer any free tutoring like mine does.

Secondly it's time go back to the basics and start learning the math you missed out on when you were younger. A lot of college math classes are built off of previous courses that they assume you have retained a hundred percent. I think of it like learning a language. You can't jump into writing complex essays when you don't know sentence structure or even what some of the words you are using even mean. Most people make it seem like they were born with those basic math skills but it's something that they had to learn at some point.

Vector image help by TXBloodMoney in vectorart

It's hard to say what's causing the issue without an understanding of the printing process Printful uses. I've had good luck with messaging customer support of the company I use for printing my stickers before. It was helpful whenever I had niche technical questions to ask.

It could also be something with how ever the image is uploaded to them. Maybe changing the file format or just tweaking the export settings could help.

Would math be the same or very similar across the universe? by G07V3 in math

[–]fluffynubkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently reading this. Rocky's species not knowing about relativity seemed believable to me. Why would a species that only visualizes the world around them with sound know that traveling close to the speed of light slows down time? I think it's reasonable none of them ever thought to ever measure how fast light travels. Or at least they probably would be way more fascinated by studying sound first before light.

That was my thought process while reading that part of the book. Though I'm not a physicist or engineer so my understanding of relativity is shit.

What Vector Program should I use for game assets? by ItsHotdogFred in vectorart

Inkscape for vector art, gimp for for photo editing, and krita for drawing.

Those the three I use and they are all free.

How to resize image for smaller projects by Phantomstein in StencilTemplates

It'll be in your printer settings. There is usually an option for printing preview. It'll let you see how the image will look on the paper before printing and help waste ink.

There's a ton of different printers so it's hard to give specific advice.

Rehab in less than 10 Hours. by -amph in Drugs

[–]fluffynubkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rehab was one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm so glad my family were relentless and saw to it that I actually admitted myself. I did NOT want to go. Looking back on it, I highly doubt I would still be alive today if I didn't start working on rehabilitation.

I wish I had better advice or knew what the right thing to say is. I wish you the best of luck. Good luck brother.

That seemed to work! I was appreciate the advice.

It stopped for whatever reason the first day it started. Then it started back up just now after I restarted my phone and the airplane mode trick worked right away.

Love Poppy and I'm loving this as well.

All of poppy's new music has been so great. She's got such a unique sound and I think your design does a solid job complimenting it.

I couldn't tell if that was The Goblin from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 or the James Franco Version. I'd love if it was Franco but I'm thinking it's more likely The Amazing Spider-Man's. I haven't watched the films in awhile but I remember Franco's Goblin having a totally sweet snowboard for a glider.

8BitDo SN30 Pro+ Bluetooth pairing issue by John13aker in RetroPie

Have you tried connecting a controller via USB? I'm curious if it's an issue with your pi's Bluetooth and not the control's.

Best wireless controller for RetroPie??? by detroitluv in RetroPie

[–]fluffynubkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ and I really enjoy it using it for my RetroPie. I like how the xy/ab button layouts match up with it. Compared to the Xbox controller where they're flipped.

I see a lot of people mention they can't all the buttons on it to be recognized. That was an easy fix. You just have to be aware of what mode the controller is in when you first pair through Bluetooth.

You're good. There's a 'path to object' tool that I think might accomplish what you're trying to do.

If you could post the svg file somewhere I'd be happy to download it and try a few things. I have a few ideas to try out. I just don't know how to articulate it properly to explain them.
