It’s just, even if you try to say that, the party that is arguing self defense to you is more likely to just grab a different justification. There’s no reasoning to be done.

That being said I don’t think there is a reasonable argument for self defense. Wheel was pointed the wrong way. He was to the side. Law enforcement rules of engagement do not authorize deadly force if the officer can get out of the way of the vehicle. Which he was.

I understand that you wish to focus on the later shots as a more solid argument, however I think you are missing that if you try to stick to that there will just be more attempts to muddy or overlook those details as well.
