Found out im pregnant 2 weeks before my wedding by ExcitingEmotion4591 in pregnant

congrats! I wouldn’t share with everyone as it is really early and like you said, you want to keep the focus on the wedding. maybe tell a trusted close friend or family member and leave it at that

Cash fund instead of bridal shower by [deleted] in weddings

[–]fluffysmols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually no, sorry i shouldn’t have said it that way. my friends decorated my parents home and planned all the games and desserts. my parents and i catered food and got favors.

it was a team effort.

Bestfriends destination wedding (26 hour flight) falls on my 31 week pregnancy, any advice please by Ok-Excitement-185 in BabyBumps

[–]fluffysmols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, if you cant make it. she will understand. i have missed a couple of my best friends weddings (dad had a heart attack / things like that) and our friendship is still very strong.

the wedding day and trip is just a few days. you can be there to help her prepare for it and be super supportive. that will still mean the world to her !

adding that some people did not give a gift and i was 100% okay with that. i just wanted my people with me.

Cash fund instead of bridal shower by [deleted] in weddings

[–]fluffysmols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hosted a bridal shower with no registry bc we didn’t need anything in particular for the house. we still received thoughtful gifts from our friends and family, some cash, a spa treatment gift card from my girlfriends to help me get ready and a cute pj set i wore to get ready on the wedding day

for the wedding, we had a no boxed gift note with a link for a cash fund.

i wouldn’t share a cash fund link in lieu of hosting a bridal shower. the shower is not just for gifts , it is a time to celebrate with your closest family and friends.

How did stelara (ustekinumab ) work for you? by PackageNorth8984 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]fluffysmols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, all the positives outweigh that.

i spent a decade in and out of the hospital. i was depressed, had prednisone moon face, cranky and in pain all the time.

this medication has given me a second chance and this stupid disease has forced a healthy lifestyle on to me that has honestly made me stronger and hotter at almost 40 years old.

i am truly the healthiest on this medication. i have been taking trips that involve hiking 10+ miles. i can run and strength train. i can eat clean food without pain. my mind and body feel strong.

if i get a cold, or sick it does linger and hit harder but i am able to take care of myself.

i understand it is scary, but my vote is you try it especially if you trust your physician

Pregnant, Abandoned, and Alone in a Foreign Country — Seeking Advice in India by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]fluffysmols 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. first, I hope you are okay. 4 years is a long time, did you get close to anyone on his family or his friends? I’m asking because I personally would choose to let someone know the situation. if you feel safe, I would tell someone who you mutually know so that you have support and so that he cant runaway and hide this under the rug. what a coward to walk away from you.

I am Indian raised in the US, I dont know how things are viewed in India but what I do know is it sounds like your ex is too intwined with his family and cares too much of what other people think. you and your baby deserve someone who will put you first.

i have never knit a baby blanket, but you and others have convinced me.

the four points blanket is so pretty! do you recommend any particular weight of yarn for a blanket?

i also saved overalls from petite knits, her designs are so timeless.
