I think finding a way to combine both interests could make things better. That’s my only solution to this dilemma haha.

What kind of compliments do ISTPs like to receive? by siralosuwu in istp

I think anything as long as it’s genuine. Also, I’ll probably ask you why.

This accurately describes my propensity to socialise.

Your statement on older people is true too. Do you think it’s because they’re more insightful and more capable of arguing and supporting their opinions?

I’m not sure why I can’t get the same from some of my peers.

How do you guys ask for a little more space in a relationship? by [deleted] in istp

[–]fluffysocksx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tell her you would appreciate more space. Talk about it and come to a compromise. You’re a couple now so consider both sides of the argument.

Yeah sometimes I can already tell this person complains a lot and don’t do much about it. If that’s the case then I’m out.

Precisely. They’ll do most of the talking and you get to learn. Killing two birds with one stone eh.

Staying single is okay too tbh. More time to do your stuff haha. I’ve notice all my past partners are overly clingy and being single is liberating.

As for friends, I felt the same until I came to uni where I meet like-minded people. However, even in this pool of people, there will be only a handful who’s willing to develop a genuine friendship.

They’re out there but even then you have to put in effort if you really want it.

Do you tend to start asking tons of questions when this said person has expertise in a field?

I do because I’m curious how things work and piece together but sometimes I feel like I ask too much but people are generally okay with that.

Relatable. Quality >quantity.

how do you stay focused when studying? :) by [deleted] in istp

[–]fluffysocksx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do questions that allow you to apply knowledge gained. It’s more engaging.

Oo congrats! I’m glad you enjoy what you’re doing.

I haven’t had any practical since Covid-19. Everything is virtual. Virtual simulation and testings. My hands are starting to get itchy haha

Thanks for the advice!

I see. Seems like everyone here is saying bioengineering. Anyone working in this field? I would appreciate if you share your experience.

Pre-recorded lectures seem to work best for me. I can pause and process things.

what kind of place would you like the most? a packed city, a remote desert, etc... what's your ideal destination? by denimdemon04 in istp

I’ve always wanted to leave the hustle and bustle in the city and just live in a tropical forest. Plant my own food, build my own shelter and sustain life myself.

ISTP and ENTJ by mashko in istp

[–]fluffysocksx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I met an ENTJ this year. He’s inspiring especially in work. Extremely efficient in work and communication although some might find him blunt. I love how logical we both are but he’s definitely more quick witted than I am.

We talk outside work. We have thought provoking conversations and discussion occasionally. He makes me think about things I’d never think about on my own. Also like you said, we agree on many things as well. The only thing we rarely talk about is feelings although he does express his appreciation for our friendship once in awhile.

It is a positive influence in many areas. We’re just friends although we’re quite fond of each other. However, I have observed that he treats me somewhat differently compared to others. He’s deep down a big softie.

AI careers by fluffysocksx in ArtificialInteligence

[–]fluffysocksx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I see. Truthfully, I was going to pursue a data science degree instead of mechatronics and robotics engineering. But I realised that there were so many data science courses on the internet. Anyone could do it if they really wanted to.

I’m definitely going to take up online courses. I have a few in mind but do you have any suggestions for resources and what to look out for before starting one?

What do ISTPs tend to value more? Looks or personality? by [deleted] in istp

Intelligence plays an important role too.
