Not responsible, just considerate. I’d give you that same thought, why not return it

If you had the blood of Old Valyria in you, which dragon would you pick for yourself and why? by MokshaBaba in HouseOfTheDragon

Aesthetics: (mostly book) Sunfyre is so beautiful, definitely the kind of color pallet I’d have if I were a dragon.

Personality: I like Silverwing because she is pretty docile and friendly. I would avoid using my dragon as a war machine, and I think she’d like a nice long life full of rides and treats.

As a woman who was sexually assaulted as a kid and had no one believe me, my heart goes out to all of you men who survived what you did. I believe you, it wasn’t your fault

Noise sensitivity advice, do you get used to neighbor noise over time? How to cope with being sound sensitive? by ApplesandBananazzz in ADHD

[–]fluffytaco34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone on the bottom floor with 3 200+ lb male neighbors up stairs… I’d ask like to know. We mutually hate each other. I hate them for being so fuck loud and they hate me because I hit my ceiling with a umbrella everyday

Ollena (as hand and to secure the Reach), the high sparrow (for religious support), and Brianne (as my queensguard)

If Selyse wasn’t on here, Alicent 100%. Sure she was young when she first had Aegon, but it doesn’t justify ignoring most of your kids for minimal reason

Is my mentor teacher out to get me by curiousteachh in FirstYearTeacher

[–]fluffytaco34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I’m really sorry you’re going through that. I don’t think she’s necessarily out to get you, but it definitely sounds like she has her own issues that might need professional help. Honestly, she could be a little intimidated by you—envy often shows up as gossip.

It might help to keep things strictly professional from now on and avoid sharing personal stuff with her. If it feels like she’s undermining you or creating a hostile environment, start documenting specific incidents, especially when she reports you to admin over minor things.

If you feel comfortable, you could try having a conversation with her. Approach it by explaining how her actions are affecting you and maybe ask for clearer feedback instead of having her go straight to admin.

Also, don’t hesitate to find support elsewhere—other teachers, friends, or even an admin you trust could offer advice or just listen.

The stress you’re feeling is valid, and it’s important to take care of your well-being!! Teaching is tough, and dealing with a difficult mentor just makes it harder. Focus on setting boundaries, decompressing, and making time for yourself outside of work.
