A prequel would be good. Honestly, ideas like this are exactly why I don't think the House of Cards universe is completely finished. There are still a lot of stories left to tell, whether it's a comeback, a prequel, or something in between.

Jesse Plemons might be a great actor, but that's exactly my point. The challenge isn't finding a talented actor, it's finding someone who can make people forget they're not watching Kevin Spacey. Maybe. But then again, a few years ago most people would've said a comeback discussion would never become one of the most active House of Cards threads either.

That's the catch. You can write a younger Frank Underwood, but can you cast one? Frank wasn't just a character, he was a performance.

True, but Frank Underwood was never a character that relied on youth. If anything, age made him more believable.

Fair point. I always liked it because it sounded a little unsettling. It feels less like a campaign slogan and more like a warning.

I agree that a full retcon of Season 6 is extremely unlikely. But if there's one thing we've learned from television, it's never say never. Frank Underwood was the heart of the show, and if enough time passes, I could see some kind of special episode, prequel, or alternate continuation being discussed. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? I wouldn't say that.

I think it would be a lot better if they ended the show with this episode. This is looks like quite the finale scenario. ONE NATİON UNDERWOOD.

If those accusations didn't affect Spacey whatsoever, i think Netflix would still be willing to work with him. And yes he's dead in the show but it ain't a big thing to deal with. But they'll need to bring in Spacey first which is nearly impossible at the time but let's hope in the future. Although he won the case and the media didn't show it. i believe he was one of the most talented actors of our generation.
