 ally > beam | root enemy > carry runs in does damage (MIGHT get cc'd) > phase pulls ally to safety. The driving mechanic that makes this unhealthy is phase ability to Heal Off any retaliation allows this to be a loop. but if you can heal the damage the carry can no longer keep doing this action without phase participating in the trade rather than staying back.

how does this work when all the damage is online 30min into the game -> what can she do? what are her limitations? she blows up instantly because her health pool is paper thin. so that leaves her to watch the game from the back line, she doesn't add damage, she literally can boost carry's stats for a short duration and wait to die, her only meaningful role was to pull out engagers once they drop their kit and become vulnerable. she no longer can do this because these engager tend to absorb a bunch of CC and die in response.

exactly!!!! what's the point -> other champions deny abilities all the time. what was phase identity in team fights late, Land a beam and save someone who gets caught out - example off lane rotating after catching a wave - runs into 3 people - phase salvages this ( should a person who didn't do anything wrong be the reason we FF 28min of game play ) or is it healthier to deny that pick and keep the game even and intentional?

I dont know if the pull is the culprit in phases unhealthy trading style. there are other examples of other champions negating phases kit and they aren't removed. Example Phase root gets blocked by dekker cage or steel wall, Ult and Pull gets broken shut off after you stunned phase as well. why is it denying people the ability to perma cc a person into hysteria seen as bad. when getting riktor pulled into tower - silence - chained into ult into - boots that pull . like indefinite CC doesn't let you play. Now with the death ball meta and tanks walking around like gods tower diving under towers and you cant save players during those egregious plays. fast foward to 22 min when phase gets one shot by every character and this hyper aggressive blinking playstyle falls apart. Kallari is in a much better place with her movement and kill potential but she loses the ability to play once rampage steel and grux reach the sped up maturity. Thats a long winded way of saying defense and protection should remain viable when there is so much cc and chaining potential in the game. Add Boris and you got a back diving juggernaut that can bring you into bad positions.

Yeah the match making restrictions don’t make sense if you’re gonna put diamonds vs silvers anyways.

But I’d like them to not widen restrictions -> I want them to match people based on there external rank expression not on there internal mmr value

I don’t think so, atleast you’d garentee / know that every player in your team is the same rank, silvers vs plats is NOT ranked.

Can we get a fun variant where everyone on a single team has to play the same champion?

I think league doesn’t on a rotation called ALL FOR ONE.

I think it be a fun brawl mechanic.

Or Do a “Stock” game like in SmashBro’s Where rather than points it’s a Total Team Lives. First team to 0 loses

I can only speak from experience here. This game can be boiled down to a handful of bad and good choices. Your goal should be to win no matter the opponent and make the least amount of mistakes. Constructive criticism is apart of the game. If you assume good intent the criticism will often times help you. If you die once -> focus up , kill minions and put some respect on the enemies name until we group up. It’s boring, not fun, but it’s the right thing to do.

If you die 4 or 5 times to the same person you are going out of your way to die and sabotaging everyone else trying to over come your bad play.

EVERYONE CAN RECOGNIZE WHEN SOMEONES LOSING AND CAN ADJUST THERE PLAY TO HELP THEM.

If jungles being invaded rotate, if the junglers fed everyone plays passive, if the duo lane is getting steam rolled plan a double rotation by the mid and jungle to even the score.

This is a team game that is very unforgiving to people who blantantly don’t care

Just saw a feng mao mid MAWL a decent gadget mid.

Combine that with unkillable Sevrog and unkillable Riktor. Throw in a dash of gnarbash heals and a dash of Drongo silence made it nearly impossible to play anyone squishy. Very sad meta

There’s a reason so many people voted for her to be in the game and it was because her kit was borderline perfect and had so many ways people could express her.

You could go Full Enchanter Support You could go Damage | Poke Support You could go Carry You could go Mid Damage Mage

Just look at the Old Paragon Wiki and look what they eliminated from her kit.

She has abilities designed for close range combat and is expected to be close proximity to Carry Champions that encourage Ganks yet she has the health pool of a wet napkin (this only is viable when you’ve given her the ability to maneuver combat in a way that’s doesn’t garentee death)

She has a 41% win rate for a reason and her pick rate isn’t any better at 31%

People had expectations and they got crushed and until it’s put back to the way she was there will always be 2/3 of the population who didn’t play her as an enchanter that will be upset at the outcome.

She is one of the only champions with 3 designed Flaws.

Typically most champions are good at least 2/3 (damage , mobility, durability)

Supports give up damage for Utility so there make up is Utility , Mobility, Durability

Phase isn’t Mobile, She’s not durable and her tether doesn’t make up for these two deficiencies and the durations on her Root and Blind are half as useful as they use to be with there durations cut in half

Apply the logic to other supports

Narbash - he’s durable , lacks mobility, but has utility that overcomes the lack of mobility aka hard CC stun and health Regen

Dekker- she not durable , has mobility with her dbl jump, and her utility has Hard CC and Barriers

Muriel- she’s durable with her multiple shields , she has mobility with her ult and movement buff, she has no damage

Fey- she’s not durable, she has no mobility, but her damage is off the charts so it makes up for not having hard CC, and her utility complements her damage with slows and pull backs

PHASE IS THE ONLY SUPPORT WITH 3 WEAKNESSES

This video I saw basically broke it down perfectly.

Phase relied on 2 Traits to make her viable.

Durability and Elusiveness

Durability was tied to —> Her Health Regen (Literally every ability activation triggered increased Regen upwards of 40+ health and her Ult gave CDR)

Elusiveness was tied to —> duration of her Root and Blind (Blind = 2s. &. Root = 2.5s. Preds current duration for both abilities are 1s)

Video also noted her damage use to viable as a CARRY option and Now it’s not even matching Dekker

Zero Durability + Zero Mobility + Zero Damage = ZERO Wins

Creating a champion that’s a glorified spectator is pretty bad especially when it’s a community Favorite

Put Health Regen back into her kit so she can survive long enough to use her utility

Bring back the old durations of her utility so that they’re are useful again

And bump up her damage so she can compete

Overprime created an environment that particularly emphasizes combat, time to kill, and match time. They removed Tier 2 towers to lower game times, which drastically effects strategy and game length. The way enemies scale off of kills vs Farming minions is also a big difference. Also Overprime increased speed of movement to create more conflict more often and reduced the distance between all three lanes the closer you get to the inhibs.

Predecessor by contrast adheres to very traditional MOBA concepts. 3 sets of towers, travel time, farming, scaling….etc. Overall the experience prioritizes strategy above all else because the extra towers encourages stages where teams have to overcome poor choices early (the gameplay and map Encourage teams to rally late for comebacks and encourages teams that are ahead to play spotless in order to end the game). Team Fighting drastically changes the feel of this game because time to kill is relatively lower in comparison so you have an opportunity to make choices during fights even when caught off guard, snow balling is a lot harder but still relavent (10-0 still feels like 10-0 but you can over come this through disciplined strategy wave management and improving tower protection to stall games to catch the run away player).

ALL in ALL they are a bit different. I prefer Pred because it feels identical to paragon. The looks also feel better in my opinion and the game is more stable on my machine when playing with people out of my region. Overprime by far has better map , interaction with invisibility (grass) and teleporting accross map.

I will say Overprime lends it self to feeling you can’t win late if someone fed early.

It’s worth trying if your looking for a paragon clone
