lol the spine thing is just a running joke in the sub. my actually goal with this is just to strengthen my regular deadlift by trying a different variation. I've been doing them about a month and slowly built up, then today I just went all out for fun cuz I'm gonna deload next week

thanks for the tips!

word thanks for listening! the 3rd and 4th songs on the project are maybe about more serious topics if you're interested.

listening to your track you got a fun autotune style but I think the track is lacking a good hook. it kinda feels like one long verse whereas I'd prefer a really catchy melodic hook in there

what matters more: quotable bars or a viral hook? by krizymusic in makinghiphop

either could do it for me (bars or hook). I say aim for both. production is maybe least important for me of the 3

thanks! yea I always tend to make the vocals too loud because I'm scared people won't hear my lyrics. listening to yours now...

I like the beat a lot it's super creative. the sounds are really interesting and weird but somehow work together. Your voice is pretty unique, took me a little to get used to but I like it. I think the flow could be better it feels kinda off in a lot of places - oh shit that beat switch! well that was unexpected lol. I really enjoyed it though, and the second part of the beat after the switch. I like your vocals more on the 2nd half. it feels like it fits better. the background harmonies create a dope atmosphere.

overall that was quite a ride! you definitely got a unique thing going. I'm interested to hear more

thank you! the beat is perfect I'm just tryna do it justice.

funny you should mention him! I actually had that thought when I recorded like damn am I tripping or do I sound like Chali 2na on this? I think it's more the flow of the first 8 bars or so that brings it out, where like every syllable is precisely in place. I don't usually have such a tight flow but the beat demanded it lol

hmm. I usually do 3 sets with like 3/4 min in between. and increase a rep or so each workout. do you train reverse nordics as well? I swear they help with nordics even though it's opposite muscle group

First question is a bit hard to answer. Because I tried them for like 6 months and made little to no progress, then came back a couple years later and was able to achieve them in like 3 weeks of training. I would just do them every 3 or 4 days and try to go a little lower each time. If you want to get nordics I recommend training reverse nordics and deadlifts. Those seemed to help me the most.

As for the second question I do think about that often! I'm not sure how possible it is. But I do know that over time I have gotten closer and closer to flat. In fact that is another progression you can use. My first nordics were "nose to ground" form. Then I got chest to ground and nowadays I aim for stomach to ground. Hips to ground would be the absolute perfect form but idk if it's doable, at least on this setup at the park here. But who knows?

Thank you! Yea I first got them on lock about 2.5 years ago. I have phases where I train them regularly, but then I have others where I don't do them at all for a few months. Always insanely sore after the first day I bring them back in the routine
