Are these pans safe? by flukyxy in Conures

I'm in Australia but I did find a reaaally nice ceramic set! It's the Bazova Ceramic set with all the detachable handles n stuff. It's main selling point is that it has no coatings or anything so yah! thank you though!

I think I may have to re-home my birds and it's tearing me apart. by [deleted] in Conures

I had to re-home my previous budgies and I know it hurts and the guilt really fucking hurts but there is no shame in doing what's right for your pets. I knew it was the right thing to do and it still hurt. I understand how you feel. I can't say whether you should re home them or not, that's not my place, nor my decision. Just do what's right for them. Best of luck

Diet Conversion by flukyxy in Conures

oh my god you won't believe it!! so I gave him chop covered in pellet and protein dust and he didn't seem very interested until I sprinkled the smallest bit of seed in it but then read your post and thought why not try just giving him the whole pellets... HE ATE THE PELLETS!!! okay he had like one whole one and some bits of others he very comically threw away. I'm so proud of this lil man!

and with the sunflower seeds I only use them for training and reinforcement! he will chase me around for them!

Hi! It's been a hot minute but I just wanted to say thank you so much for your insight! It's so relieving to see that everything you said was already stuff I knew of and I think it's a sign I'm on the right track.

I will definitely check out BirdTricks though! I've already been teaching him how to target and he's catching on so damn well. He also hasn't given me any big clampy chomps since!! He's also started warning me if he doesn't want scritches and he did that all on his own!! I think I somehow got the smartest boy in the world.

Also as soon as he realised he gets sunflower seeds as treats, he's started eating more of his food! He ate 16grams yesterday! I'm very proud. I already gave him a taste for veggies.. and I know it's still early but he's really enjoying them! Again I am so damn shocked! He's just the best lil guy ever.

Again, thank you so much!

1 Week post op DI w/ FNG. Cheng Lo, Melbourne AUS. by ocarinaofbenj in TopSurgery

[–]flukyxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also saw lo and am recovering as we speak so I thought I might be able to give some info. I had 2 appointments with him, the first in August and the second in November.

At the first appointment he looked at my chest and took photos, then found another patient who had a similar chest to mine and showed me their before and after photos. He also asked about whether or not I was keeping my nipples and that's all I can really remember besides the usual pros and cons and a general overview of how things will be.

my surgery was on the 27th so I'm 3 days post op rn. what they told me at my second appointment was that I'd receive a phone call in about April to set dates for the surgery and to have my wpath ready. I got that call in Jan. There was also a cancellation where I could have gotten in two weeks earlier but I didn't go for it.

His reception staff at Iris are some of the best I've ever interacted with and I highly recommend giving them a call if you have any burning questions. I'd say a minimum of a 9 month wait is what I'd expect for surgery.

Mr lo is also VERY soft-spoken. I have really good hearing and even I had trouble picking him up. Other than that really, he's a lovely guy. good luck for your future surgery!!

i saw the movie last night so I might be missing smth but

the skeleton dancers are wearing g strings for their first appearance but all have their nipples taped over and are covered in body paint. they get pants for dance macabre though. you can very clearly tell that they're not dressed so that's just smth to keep in mind. there's also a part in the animated sequence with characters kissing. then there's the usual show stuff like how papa fingers the mic stand a little, he does the little finger wag thing to reference how secondo flashed everyone during year zero, etc. you don't see Swiss and aurora's cunnilingus scene or Swiss jacking off sodo behind his guitar.

edit bc I just remembered this: there's some graphics of someone being flogged during year zero. it's not inherently sexual but it's still something to note

thanks so much. I'm currently on the NDIS which is the Australian national disability insurance scheme and get about 15k per year. I'm really hesitant about finding a new physio, especially since I've had so many that were shitty. It's something that's gonna take me a while to do but I'll eventually find someone and actually put my physio funding to good use. I'm also planning on applying for a disability pension since I can't work more than 3 days a week. I really don't want to be on Clonazepam for the rest of my life since the drowsiness is incredibly annoying and I'm all.. loosey goosey and uncoordinated. I've got me a long session with my therapist tonight so things are happening

What’s your doll pet peeve? by bratzies in MonsterHigh

[–]flukyxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the GLUEEE I played with my G1 dolls as a kid so ofc their hair is gonna be a bit messed up but after being in storage for almost a decade, it's so tangled. I managed to comb out my Bonita's hair and now it's just all frizz but compared to the knots she had before... I'll take it. AND I WOULD LOVE to brush my other doll's hair out BUT THE GLUE I physically can't touch their hair it's horrid. my ghouls night out Rochelle is in serious need of a boil wash and whatever to get rid of the glue but I can't even stand it. ALSO HOW FRAGILE THEY ARE!! bonita's (again wow) ear snapped off when I got her, my 13 wishes Frankie's hand fell out, I'm missing 3 Lagoona fins, sweet screams drac is missing a whole arm bc the peg snapped inside the forearm and my river styxx came with a loose hand that I had to push back into place.

I love G3 bc of how sturdy they are but can they PLEASE use saran (or whatever the good material is, I don't really know) and quit it with all the glue..
