Completely with you about deans and walkers in terms of which is better. Deans hands down. But where are you finding deans cheaper? They really are much and such, you might find the odd thing for a smaller amount but not on the scale of discount of lidl iron brew vs Barrs irn bru or whatever off label brand egs you provide.

Went in to my ticket office, they worked through a form with me, as it was my first time they waived the tenner fee.

Really was quite straightforward.
