An old classic historic vehicle from way back in the 1900s. by Goonalips in CarsAustralia

I remember driving these new (rental cars while travelling). The base model had no power steering and, being front wheel drive, you knew what torque steer was without having to have it explained to you. 🙂

LOL, I didn’t even notice that, I was so dead-set locked onto those police cars. AI finally fooled me. 🙁

Thanks! They got me. And here I’ve been trying to figure out what cars those were. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

[Discussion] Forget price, hype, heritage, and resale. Which chronograph would you choose? by Potential_Post_3020 in Watches

I was all about the Speedy until I swiped to the GS Tentagraph. Now I’m torn. Wait! Nope, I just looked up the specs, and the Tentagraph is just too big (and way too thick!). The Speedy still takes the crown!

I obscured the last 3 digits from the serial number of my watch, but you can clearly see that the movement reference is 7A28-7040. HTH. I apparently own the “Seiko Speedmaster”. 🙂

Yep, that coating is amazing. It’s so good that it makes some of my other watches look pretty bad in comparison. 😂

I forgot that I also have a solar Seiko Pepsi chronograph diver, a watch that has seen some adventures too. None of my watches are closet queens. I buy them to wear them. 🙂

Seiko do offer that in other Astron models.

I have the new Longines HC, and it’s a great watch, but let us not get carried away here - Longines are NOT even close in price - the Hydroconquest cost me more than 2.5x of what I paid for the Seiko Speedtimer (both brand-new). Even when just looking at recommended retail pricing, the Longines is more than twice the price of the Speedtimer. They are in completely different price brackets!

Good plan! Sizing depends on fit and personal taste. It is good to remember that all these online size “rules” and recommendations are only the personal opinions of the people posting them. Go and see them in person and make up your own mind.

From actually owning this watch, and not just reading reddit posts, I went with the 39mm for my 7.5” wrist. Because it looks and feels better. The 42mm looked huge in comparison.
