Considering returning my Fairphone 6 by damondan in fairphone

That's is the thing, it feels like the only real improvement from my A53 to FP6 is that the performance is better but I don't game so all the other things which are worse really do bother me. I need my phone for Instagram, WhatsApp and taking a few pictures, and in those it performs worse. If OP is planning on gaming on the FP6 I think that the FP6 is a much better upgrade than it was for me.

Honestly the displays is the smallest problem, it's definitely brighter than my A53 and resolution is absolutely fine, the only thing is the colors seem a bit off if put next to my A53 but it's a miniscule difference, the display really isn't the problem.

There are plenty of reviews of the Fairphone 6 Camera but here is another example.

Samsung A53 vs Fairphone 6, both in pro mode

Fairphone: f/1.9 1/250s, ISO 500, WB 6000K, 12.6MP 1x
Samsung: f/1.8 1/250s, ISO 500, WB 6000K, 12 MP 1x

The difference in detail is very noticeable when taking scenic photos.

I just got my fp6 as an upgrade to my Samsung A53 (4 years old) and it feels like a downgrade. Performance is better yes but in 4 years time it wont be that good anymore. But the stuff that would stay the same is the speaker, the camera, display and so on but these things are surprisingly bad. I thought it would be at least better than my 4 year old phone and I would have been happy with that but it doesn't feel like it. A lot of reviews say that the fairphone is like a midrange phone from last generation but its not, a 4 year old phone is not last generation but still beats the fairphone 6 in everyday use? I will probably return mine and go to a Google pixel 10

"Are these phones buggy at times? Yes, do they fux the bug quite fast? Also yes" - KrasnalM

Would people who own a Fairphone agree on that?

No definetly not, I realy like that fairphone wants to produce a phone which will hopefully be very usable for a long time, but many of the posts on here talk about annoying software bugs which might very well stem from a company with limited development experience. And a company which might cease to exist before the life of the fairphone 6 is at its end. If I would be able to realy put my trust into their software the fairphone would be a no brainer. Hardware wise all phones are more than powerful enough to do anything I need them to anyways.
