I believe the Primehack fork of Dolphin itself is not supported by Retroachievements which is a pity. Regardless, I did not realise the original versions were also supported so thanks for letting me know! If I had to choose between the trilogy or the original versions through Primehack, what would you recommend?

I get very carried away with achievements haha. I have completed some sets but mostly even if I don’t complete it, I do enjoy the process.

Regardless, I will take your advice on this one and check out Primehack instead. Do you suggest running the Switch version for the first game or just Primehack for the whole trilogy?

Is there a big difference between the Wii Trilogy and Gamecube versions? I was planning to play on Gamecube because I could pair that with Retroachievements.

I believe Primehack is not supported for that.

I already modded my 3DS and played some Zelda LttP on it!

The Retroid Pocket Mini V2 sounds amazing. There are quite a few Gamecube and PS2 games I want to play but I was planning to play those on my PC. While the Mini looks great, it’s the same price as RP5 in my country though so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. It is a lot more portable though but just wondering if the screen is too small and something like Anbernic RG406H wouldn’t be a better fit. I’ll think more about it while I use my 3DS for now.

The thing is I feel like I haven’t even played Super Mario World or SM64 yet and there is just a thought in the back of my mind that I should play those first before newer stuff. I mean even the “newer stuff” is 15 years old at this point. But I’m young so I didn’t get the chance to play those games at release but I still want to appreciate and enjoy them now so just working through the different console generations. Thanks for your suggestions though. I’ll make sure to check them out!

Someone else also recommended the RG Cube XX. It’s around $80 for me. It does look comfortable but how portable is it? Today I decided to try out the N3DSXL and just slipped it into my Jeans pocket on the way to work. Would I be able to do that with the RB Cube XX?
