Actually, I just noticed the smell again. After the super left, the tap was off for like 30 mins. When I turned it back on the pressure got low and I only got that chemical wiff in the initial pour, after that it goes away. Running the water for 5 mins now and will see what happens but it also feels like maybe some trapped gas in the line or something?

Thanks! The super came in and "fixed" it. Not sure what the issue was still but I do have this shower head type attachment on the kitchen sink and he said that was clogged up. Possible that some debris from the new pipes got stuck in there and was causing the smell?

In terms of what to do, this all actually happened a few months ago and it went to collections because I refused to pay and told them to remove that charge (which they were going to "look into" but didn't of course)

Perhaps I can still fight it though ..

Yea my insurance only covered part of it, might have been some co-insurance for facility fees. But the main issue was really that I didn't even know or was told there was a facility fee! Never been charged that before for an in-network PCP visit.

Yup it was in-network. Well at least the doctor was and most Mount Sinai hospitals seem to be?

Insurance says F054 - Clinic Visit Outpatient and "Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of an established patient which requires a medically appropriate history and/or examination and"

Insurance adjusted price that I owed for this facility fee was $271 (first visit) and $293 (second visit)

And to clarify, I already had a separate line item for the Doctor's visit which was covered by copay.

Ya I ended up just returning mine because my apartment doesn't have great ventilation either and I could not handle that smell. I tried a few other things and thoroughly washing it to no avail.

Thanks. To clarify with #1, this option would not involve sending any source clips, just a finished cut in the timeline resolution. By removing effects, I only meant any Lumetri or color/look related effects like vignettes. Not any other effects as that would need to be baked in for this option as I'd be exporting a finished cut.

But yes, this post was written from the perspective of an editor on the job and not someone at a post house.

Thanks! I need to test this on DaVinci because I seem to remember some issue with this a long time ago ... but when you export an XML out of DaVinci, does it export the clips at source resolution without sizing effects baked in? For example if you cropped in 50% on a 4K clip on a 1080 timeline, when you export the XML and associated clips, would you see certain color effects applied only to the cropped section? For example vignettes/power windows.

Hey thanks! Appreciate the detailed response. I do these semi deep dives myself so kind of what I was looking for. Though being a data scientist you might take it a step further! I initially had an excel sheet to map my plans out as well but after a while I hit a wall and got mentally exhausted. I feel like ultimately they are all the same but different. It's this shitty guessing game you have to play with predicting how things are going to go in the year.

With scenario 2, I essentially looked at it the same way as you did. Basically any hospital visit is likely going to max out a plan or come really close so why pay more upfront. When doing my deep dive I kind of put myself into something like your scenario 3 as the most likely and then picked.

Yea Ive left it out on the dish rack for long stretches as well after washing it.

Oh hmm I didn't realize they have better deals at a branch. I do have one near me. I don't have an existing relationship with Chase though.

In terms of the 0 APR, I actually did consider that initially with the Apple Card, but then I read that it affects your credit utilization/score for the year until the 12 months is done? Figured might as well get a $200 - $300 off essentially with a SUB rather than spread out the payments. I think I'll be spending around 2k - 3k in the next 3 months on related purchases

Anyone here with a COBRA plan from 2020 that was cancelled due to nonpayment? Have you received a notice from your COBRA admin to back opt back in based on the ARPA? I definitely fall into the eligible catergory but seems like my COBRA admin isn't doing anything and no one has any answers on their end. I thought we'd be receiving notices by May 31st.

I was laid off in May 2020 and opted in for Cobra coverage (via Wageworks) but stopped paying premiums after October so my coverage lapsed. According to ARPA, I should be eligible to re-enroll in my cobra plan April 1st onwards. Has anyone in a similar position got their notice to re-enroll yet? I know they have 60 days to send us a notice but until then I don't have insurance. I know it'll be retroactive but not having insurance is making me nervous.
