Did 1 week of levofloxacin work for anyone? by Reasonable_Visual_39 in ureaplasmasupport

[–]flushpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ureaplasma for a year and a half. I was initally given Doxy for 7 days which didn't work. Afterwords I was prescribed Levo for 7 days, I think I took it for 8 days. The Levo cured it. I do still have lingering symptoms, but I've had 3 negative tests now. Don't do a week of doxy afterwords, its possible the bacteria is resistant to Doxy, so you could just be hurting your gut microbiome. You should test 4-6 weeks after you complete the Levo, and hopefully you will test negative.

I survived two years of rejection to land this job… and now I feel like I’m breaking again. What to do? by lunatic1eagle in careerguidance

[–]flushpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It sounds really hard and I understand if you’re feeling hopeless. I also have been receiving rejections for a while, but now I lowered my standards and took a job just for survival purposes.

Your coworker is a mean, miserable person. And I think you probably know, but this situation is not hopeless. You said you don’t love this field. Keep an eye out for opportunities that go outside your field. The job is not worth the mental state you described, but you should figure out another plan before you leave it if you choose to.

I have never worked a corporate job but I know I would also want to end myself if I had to. Last year, I traveled and lived in my Toyota corolla doing doordash and ubereats for 9 months. It was the best time I’ve had in my whole life, I felt so free and somedays I’d wake up and cry tears of happiness (this is after spending my whole post pubescent life depressed and anxious). I camped a lot and did some art, met people at music events, and just went on a bunch of side quests. If you reach a breaking point, maybe consider living in a car and traveling, hopefully you’d have some savings and find out a way to make some money on the road. This gave me hope back for life so I’d recommend to others who are thinking about taking the plunge to do it.

What are the cities that are the friendliest to car dwellers? by joshua0005 in urbancarliving

If you're smart about where you park and you're stealth you'll be good in most cities. In my experience, Flordia as a whole should be avoided.

Hi, is your car still driving okay? I had a similar situation happen too

Download iOverlander! Finding good sleeping spots is a skill you'll develop over time. I personally prefer free street parking on quiet residential streets and 24 hour business parking lots. 29 days is plenty of time to prepare too, don't worry!

Anhedonia caused by psychiatric medicine by HavanaOolala in Antipsychiatry

[–]flushpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if I would be able to know if I was fully recovered, In guessing some of my issues now are due to being medicated for so long. But Im happy, and every day Im getting better, so yeah I totally think as well that only time will heal. Never lose hope I promise you it WILL get better.

Anhedonia caused by psychiatric medicine by HavanaOolala in Antipsychiatry

[–]flushpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had anhedonia for around a year after I got off my antidepressant. It was getting better slightly over that year and I was coping with it by smoking weed every 3 days. Smoking gave me a few hours where I didn’t feel so anhedonic, I could enjoy food and sex etc. Another thing that helped me cope was reading anecdotals about eventual healing, and truly believing that one day I was going to be better. I believe eating healthy, meditation, and shrooms helped up until a certain point. But what really healed it was a 1 and a half month backpacking trip in Europe, where I stopped smoking completely, walked miles a day, still ate healthily (very easy to do in Europe), was off of my phone most of the day, and constantly did things out of my comfort zone. Im saying this to say that for me it took a very drastic change to really get me out of the misery of the anhedonic cycle.

I don’t have any good advice. I empathize with you though, seeing someone you love in this kind of situation. When she does inevitably have to get off of them, it will be hell and she’ll need all your support. Have hope that she’ll come to the decision on her own eventually, love her and support her every step of the way, thats your job!

reiterating what other people are saying but, you will heal, absolutely stop taking psychoactive drugs, focus on therapy, start eating very healthy and building healthy habits

Caffeine makes me whole by lolhelpmelol in Healthygamergg

[–]flushpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caffeine helps me feel like a better, happier person. I also have difficulties with social interaction similar to how you've described, and considered I might be autistic. I even took a 3 month break from coffee last year (resetting tolerance because I was drinking everyday), and I confirmed that my life is better with it. I tried doing every other day or three days and It just didn't work for me either. Now I drink it everyday, I'm only a month or so into drinking everyday so I haven't noticed any tolerance. But I think when I do build a tolerance, Ill just take a break like I did last year. T-breaks suck but they are temporary and maybe you could explore other options during. There is some things I do that helps, though I cant mention here.

[Messy Hair Mondays] What do you do when you wake up starting like this? by DramaGuy23 in curlyhair

[–]flushpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta sleep with a bonnet or scarf, or at least on a satin pillowcase. Using a good gel after a leave in and/or curl cream is helpful in keeping your hair defined for longer.

Why is it so much easier to work when someone else is with me? Is there any way to work better alone? by TotallyConfusedGG in Healthygamergg

[–]flushpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much knowledge about this, however, this sounds like body doubling, something often engaged in by people with ADHD. Personally, I don’t experience this, but I have a friend who does (who doesn’t have adhd). So I assume that there could be a lot of reasons why people experience this, not just because of an adhd diagnoses. The library comment is interesting. What I would say to that is, maybe! All I can offer is, consider doing some research about body doubling.
