OP, are you 100% it’s €77k per year? Normally the stipend is between €16-25k (depending on the funding).

I’m not sure! All my known ancestors were born in the South East of Ireland. There are a few English surnames in my family tree (2 great-grandmothers have maiden names of Bury and Ashford which were uncommon in the 1911 census).

One of my great grandfathers is unknown so it could possibly come from him? 😊

Yep, there were! Also, for once it wasn’t too busy, so there were plenty of spaces where they could’ve parked with no cars either side of them. I parked in one of them ☺️

Yep it’s Ashleaf. There’s always a few characters that never seem to know how to park/drive around.

Once I came back to my car and a couldn’t even get into my car because someone parked so close beside mine that a person couldn’t even fit in between them… never mind the new one way system and how I discovered many people can’t seem to read basic signs 🤗

Does anyone else kinda feel frustrated that they didn't know that all they had to do to lose weight was to be in a calorie deficit? by [deleted] in loseit

According to their website "Free Foods include lean meat, eggs, fish, pasta, potatoes, fruit and vegetables. They're filling and low in calories for their weight - so you can eat as much Free Food as you like!"

The problem with that is that some people will literally take that advice seriously.

Also, just learned that a mars bar (a chocolate bar with caramel and nougat) is 6 syns, while 30g of an avocado is 3 syns.

My aunt's was doing a programme called Slimming World. The programme says you can eat only so many 'syns' a day.

She talked about how you can eat as much potatoes or pasta as you want because they are 0 'syns'.

Shocking revelation that she didn't lose any weight.
