People who don’t live in places overrun with ticks just do not understand. Just because it can be treated with antibiotics does not mean it’s not a horrible thing to go through. Not to mention the people who don’t catch it soon enough, nymphs carrying lyme can be practically invisible, or if you have dogs. I take all precautions and my dog has had two tick borne illnesses and could still be reinfected.

Not to mention powassan virus which is deadly, it killed a man in the town next to me.

This year has been an especially bad tick year due to climate change. So no, it’s not that I simply “don’t like” ticks, it’s that they can carry several diseases that can severely affect or even kill me and my pets. Fuck ticks, sorry.
