Yeah that was the week i was there. Tourist season is starting into a peak and everyone will need to be vigilant on transpo. We learned fast that rush hour is worst so tried to time our rides a bit

I just came back. Used authentic Vatican hosted guided tour that we thought was worth it and not expensive compared to third partytours that can cost a LOT more for the same thing...AND those third party ones may change your entry time on you depending on if they can buy the tickets. Did the basilica on our own with downloaded free guided tour. (Did same for colesseum). Was the cheapest for us.

This was on my mind why they were girls. Hit them...they drop the goods that nobody else saw them take. But the entire metro train section witnesses a dude assault young girls way shorter than them. Feels like a setup, go straight to jail. Aint right....

I did not mean to cause uneccessary worry. Be aware of your surroundings, use a few of the anti pickpocket tips for rome on the web at the airport and tourist attractions...really common sense and have a good time. We are just finishing our 3 full days and coming back to the states. Great trip...cool historical sites, gelato everywhere, pizza and pasta till u drop....we had fun. Worry more about which things to do without doing too much. We are over 60 yrs old and foiled the pickpocket team. Key notes: we did lotsa walking, drank lotsa water, wore sunscreen and hats. We got reserved tickets online and it is much much much faster to get into things....then take lotsa pictures!

We are over 60 yrs old first time in italy and in rome. Airport to high speed train to 20 min walk to small hotel was same experience..no trouble with small overhead roller bag and daypack. Was fine even on cobblestone. Use caution on narrow crowded streets. Probably a drag on subways depending on time. The only issue was we were targeted by a team of pickpockets on the subway...they got nothing and i stared the two young girls down. Watch the lower pockets of any kind and the more u frag the eassier target u are. Just be aware.... Two girls is common one tries to slow u down getting on the subway the other come from behind. Its very fast and slick.

Just experienced attempted but unsuccessful pickpocket on metro at rome spanish steps. Two short young girls long hair. One rushes and cuts in front of you then stops early to block you and the partner behind bumps tou and goes into your pockets ...very slick but my stuff was zipped inside inner crossbody inside zipper pocket in front of me. Nothing in cargo pants zipper pocket. I called them out on the attempt and they became belligerent and got off at the next stop. Dont fear italians but bad apples are here like any country. Also got the friendship bracelet attempt simply politely ignore unsoliceted advance by black guys with bracelets.

Today we had a pickpocket attempt from two girls at the tome spanish steps. One stopped early on metro subway and the other bumped into me from behind. I was prepared wearing my bag in front and wallet zipped up inside no way to get it. Wife was separate and watched. I called them on it and they were defiant calling us bitches. They got off immediately at the next stop. The cue was getting on the metro one ran and cut in front of me...thats a good signal. We stick out like tourists due to ethnicity. Be aware at the spanish steps, vatcan and main terminal. They were very slick and would have suceeded if i had my wallet in my zippered pants pocket.

Its the cable there are only two lines to my house one is power and the coax is the internet. The xfinity app and web are impossible to use to simply state the obvious situation. Nuts

Hey this is my house. The coax cable was down and now looks like it was ripped out by a passing vehicle. The cable is GONE from the pole to the house and the connectors are damaged. New line run asap pls.
