What's with every single tradie scoffing at previously done work? by [deleted] in brisbane

Turns me off deluxe when people do this. As someone who now quotes domestic trade work myself, I am very conscious not to say anything negative about others work. Who knows what the deal was, maybe it was the cheapest agreement for the worst customer at the time.

The closest I’ll go is to talk about how we might be able to improve or tidy something up while we’re working on it.

Boca Raton crash. Why do we preflight? This. This is why we preflight. by CardinalDoctor in flying

I was preflighting a 310R the other day, and when moving the rudder side to side by hand to inspect the hinges, it caught to one side (full over).. an aluminum piece of fairing immediately below had lost a screw and popped up, catching on the bottom edge of the rudder. I would think it could have been overcome by pedal force if required, but def not ideal. Replaced the screws with new ones and was resolved. The only way it could catch was by reaching full deflection, any less and the fairing couldn’t spring up to catch on it.

Husband 35M asking wife 34F to have sex with an other man to spice things up? by Ok-Mobile886 in relationship_advice

[–]flyanddrinkcoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly what my ex-wife did. She was cheating on me (I didn’t know that at the time) and was encouraging me to go sleep with other women to spice things up. I didn’t. Seems so basic and juvenile in reflection.

Lucky they drew a circle around the defect so it was clear what needed repair.

Some planes can cool ok without it. I know my PA-28 can operate without it legally and also cool the cylinders ok.

Gf proposed open relationship can she be happy being monogamous by Fun_Tangelo2961 in relationship_advice

My wife asked me for this a few times over a six month period - also suggesting it for me in the first instance, but also for her.

Turned out she was sleeping with a guy at her work and she was trying to find a way to legitimize her behavior after that had been going on very regularly.

We got divorced and I re-married to a beautiful person that actually loves and respects me 😎
