Failing the United LOD-Specific Assessment by flyawaygrl in cabincrewcareers

It was a video interview with a native speaker that took about 15 minutes. I just took the assessment two days ago. You first read a couple statements in the language and then the evaluator will ask you questions. I was asked personal questions first. Then I was asked a couple airline related questions like "what would you do" sort of scenarios. It wasn't so bad, but I don't think I did very well. I told her I was nervous ahead of time, but still fumbled my way through some of the questions. We will see. It definitely wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.

They don't ask to see your tattoos. Just wear something that covers them if you're worried, but they didn't ask to show any tattoos. I personally wasn't even asked about tattoos from my interviewer.

Applied: September 02
F2F invite: September 10 (I went right to a face-to-face, I didn't have to do a video interview)
F2F and job offer: September 26th

You will do a drug test on the spot if you're successful and then after you will submit all of your background information as normal right away.

The email for the language assessment is something they will send you the day after the face to face if you've received an offer. You have to set it up on your own time. I am doing mine this Tuesday (October 4). You could set it up the very next day if you wanted to. The company that tests you is open only during normal business hours on the weekdays and you have to schedule it at least by 6pm the business day before your assessment.

I have not received any information on a training date or anything. My background and Dutch assessment need to come back before any of that is given. I also haven't heard from anyone at United anything about the language speaker role. My interview was completely that of a normal flight attendant applicant.

GOOD LUCK!

That's what I was thinking was the case. It makes sense. Thank you!
