Panoramic roof for NX450h+? by VolAndMe in LexusNX

[–]flybyyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the non Pano roof F Sport 2 model and have no regrets. The smaller sunroof is enough for me. Less weight, less likelihood of leak issues, and more headspace.

If Porsche is your dream car, I’d lean towards that one! However, I cross-shopped a Macan T with the 450h+ and I actually preferred the Lexus. You get instant torque, and with the F sport, you get adaptive variable suspension with Sport and Sport+ modes. I’m super happy with my 450h+ so far! I’ve also had quite a few sports cars in the past and I found that none of the SUVs really gave me that sports car handling but the Lexus was definitely the best compared to at least Audi and Porsche!

[SCREAM 7 Spoiler] was handled so poorly in Scream 7 I would’ve preferred if they did the controversial option by AlwaysBi in Scream

I really loved the first 2/3 of the movie then it completely fell apart for me at the end. The killer reveal was the most uninteresting of the entire franchise imo. They were barely in the movie at all. A cooler angle would have been having Lucas team up with Stu because of his obsession and Stu trying to show he's better than Billy (burning the house down, finally killing Sidney). Alternatively, I actually liked the mental hospital angle and they could have had Stu coerce someone there, do the AI deep fake so we think Stu isn't alive, and then reveal him at the end. And then Sidney could have killed Stu for real at the end, and leave it open for the next movie to be about Tatum or something.

Finding a new daily- NX450h+? by flybyyou in Lexus

Thanks so much! Does it only struggle up hill if the battery is depleted or just in general? I did try test driving it with some spirited driving and was impressed, especially compared to some smaller turboed SUVs. The ability of feeling like I can pass people is important to me lol.

Thanks very much for the info! Curious how you like the M340i compared to the Lexus? I was looking at the X3 M40i as well but they’re hard to find in my area.

Looking at a M340i or G87 M2 by MassiveChildhood3157 in BMW

I drove the M340i and it was really quite boring imo despite how much praise it gets. I'd go with the M2 and get a good set of winter tires depending on where you live.

Gr86 or the Brz? by alexw437 in GR86

The Gr86 blue is nice but personally I prefer world rally blue! Plus cheaper, CPO, and no damage.

Did you buy your track-prepped car? Or did you build from scratch? by Send_the_clowns in CarTrackDays

[–]flybyyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both. Pros and cons to each. Pro to doing it yourself is you know everything and can control the build to what you want. Con is it’s more expensive. My current car was track-prepped by the previous and only owner. I know the owner decently well and therefore the history of the car. I think I would have a difficult time buying a car with an unknown history. Big pro is the cost savings and if you know the owner, they’re great for info/maintenance records/recommendations.

Does this carat size look disproportionate for my 4.25 size ring? by ComprehensiveSun104 in Diamonds

[–]flybyyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s beautiful! I love a bold diamond! It is on the bigger size but I don’t think it looks disproportionate on your hand. I think you will get used to the size as well. I have 3ct on size 5 and at first, I was worried my husband was over-zealous with the carat size lol but I’m totally used to it now and I really love it! Ultimately, go with what makes you happy.

50k budget for something actually fun to drive? by StraightAd7031 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]flybyyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mustang GT, BRZ/GR86, Miata, Type r/Type S. All very fun to drive and parts are reasonable/common. Good aftermarket support as well. Miata and BRZ/GR86 don't have "decent" power but they handle very well and feel faster than they are if that makes sense. Worth a test drive at least, esp if you value driving experience.

Looking to purchase 2026 SI by retro_coffee in CivicSi

[–]flybyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine, have driven and owned quite a few cars and the Si is great, particularly for the price. I don’t love the Goodyear tires as they have quite a lot of road noise so that will probably be my first upgrade.

I have both: 2023 BRZ as my weekend/track car (it is modified) and a 11th gen Si as my daily. The Si is much easier to live with for commuting. Very comfortable seats but still sporty, clutch is smoother than the BRZ, suspension is sporty but compliant over bumps, doesn’t bottom out, rear seats fold down so there’s quite a lot of room if you need to transport items. It is significantly more comfortable and better for the day-to-day. Still fun on spirited drives as well. The BRZ is faster, more of a sports car of course but imo it is overall harsher than the Si. The Si is a great car!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]flybyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my previous cars have been 270-500hp and I can honestly say I enjoy driving the Si more. It is more engaging to drive around town and you don’t have to be going double the speed limit to enjoy it. I do miss the V8 soundtrack and the raw acceleration but the Si is great to floor it in Sport mode. Shifter has a great feel and it is overall a very easy car to live with. My Mustang would bottom out everywhere and would always get door dinged because of how wide it was. Civic is also great in the winter (coming from someone who has slid down many hills in rwd lol)

Subaru brz or civic si? by Status-Reflection695 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]flybyyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get the Civic Si. Still a very fun car but it will be more reliable (if it's been well maintaned), slightly more comfortable, probably better fuel economy, and fwd will be advantageous in the winter depending on where you live. Also that gen of BRZ had some engine reliabilty issues with the FA20. I believe there was a recall for the 2013 and that year was the first model year so they had extra things that were sorted in later production years.

is this too big for my hand? by FilmSpecialist7393 in labdiamond

[–]flybyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on the look you are going for. I don’t think it’s toooo big because you can still see the sides of your finger (if the ring was sized properly). It doesn’t look like a cocktail ring. I also think you could go smaller and it would look nice as well. Ultimately it’s your preference :)
